I am SO excited. I think Oddworld will be just as dark, if not darker than how it originally was. I cannot wait to see what the new abe looks like!

Going off of Lanning's quote, does this mean the original Exoddus story is going to be cut in two parts, with Soulstorm being the first more fleshed out half of the original Exoddus game and then having a sequel for the second part of the story where he actually goes to the brewery, etc? if that makes any sense...
I hope they dont change the original Exoddus story too much if theyre adding new elements to it, I fucking loved it but if they do change it I'm sure I'll love it even more to be honest, aslong as they stay with the dark and gritty theme they're heavily playing on in this reveal Ontop of that, I'm willing to bet theyre reintroducing Mudombies, perhaps it was intended to be the ultimate side effect of Soulstorm brew, with drunk Mudokons just being the first stages of it? |

Completely agree with Manco. Two issues with NNT have ALREADY been fixed. The name doesn't suck, and the tone is dark and sinister.

The new logo isn't particularly great, but I'm all on board with story changes. Hopefully it won't just be AO rehashed like AE was.

So I just did a video of me reading out the page and I notice it references Abe's Exoddus at several points throughout.
My assumption is. Soulstorm is a retelling of Abe's Exoddus however it's going to be VASTLY different to the original game. It's going to be a very dark and gritty game. Maybe even a Horror. The vibe I'm getting from that page alone makes me think they're completely revamping the style and theme of Oddworld. And that is completely cool with me. I'm actually really glad they're doing this. If AEHD was just going to be NnT but in Exoddus, I would of been a bit missed opportunity. I always felt Abe's Exoddus let itself to a more darker theme so I'm SO GLAD THEY'RE DOING THIS. I'm frigging PUMPED. |

I'm glad to see them going back into a slightly darker theme, but at the same time, I hope they don't make it too dark. Part of Oddworld's charm, at least for me, was the humor mixed in with the darker elements, and I'd like to see that balance between silly and serious maintained. |

Lots of people suggested SoulStorm. Including Varrok.
And whilst I don't think it was a bad name, I was so convinced they'd go with Twice The Flavor if it was just going to be a NnT styled Exoddus remake. Now I think about it. SoulStorm is a really good name for what they're doing with the game. |

SoulStorm was the original name for Exoddus, so if they’re talking about an original story that they never got to tell it would make sense to go back to that name.

Twice ze Flavour would have been fitting if the game would remain in the happy cheery humor bright color setting that New 'n' Tasty was. But if they're really going with the dark setting, Soulstorm is a much better fit.
