They recently turned their back on the show's writers and began harassing them too, when they called them out on their bullshit. That includes calling storyboard artists paedophiles.

All this is because the character she drew wasn't fat enough.

It's sometimes really hard being a fan of something. A fan of anything even.
It can completely ruin something for someone and even make you avoid it.

I've never seen Steven Universe, and this has really put me off watching it. If the fans go out their way and harass the creators. Just fuck everything about that.

Hopefully this artist will avoid exposing herself to such people while she deals with ongoing depression. We need to start teaching people to guard themselves better so that meaningless rat dicks can't affect them.

Also, I'm certain the people doing this are predmoninantly adolescent. It's not yesterday's neckbeards, it's today's kids who literally don't understand that their actions have consequences.

I don't know, Mac. A lot of these people are in their 20s and up. These are the college campus types.
That's why I don't participate in fandoms. Communities are fucking toxic 99.9% of the time. People should start thinking like individuals as opposed to pack animals.

To be fair. This was posted in the off-topic section. Oh who I'm I kidding. No one knows what Oddworld is...

Anyway. Every fandom has it's dark side. You just need to avoid places like tumblr, 4chan and to a lesser extent reddit. (I have no problems with reddit. But it's usually filled with shitposts which make you embarrassed be a fan.) And most importantly. Not take it as seriously.

It's sometimes hard. Especially if it's a new found love of something and you want to be apart of it. I mean hell. I'm a recently obsessed Rick and Morty fan. And it's hard not to search the interwebs for other fans and info about the show.

Then there's Oddworld. Where it's all darkside...

Then dark fucking woods.

God i hate reddit. At least on 4chan and tumblr you get to delude yourself into thinking the stupid shit that you're reading is solely the opinion of the half-wit who wrote it. But lovely reddit with its stupid fucking upvote system gives the website a hive mind, and most of the time it is moronic. Take this thread where a bunch of yanks masturbate each other's individualistic fantasies of shooting someone dead for petty theft. Realising this was popular opinion left me kinda depressed for a while.

The thing is with Reddit, is it's futilely self aware, like there's an r/neckbeard, as if everyone on there isn't a misogynist neckbeard fedorabro any way. Reddit, 4chan and Tumblr are just kinda the pits of the internet where anyone without an actual life festers away.

Unfortunately I have a Tumblr. Though it makes me feel marginally better that all I do is post shitty vaporwave and industrial photography.

Yeah Reddit can be shit. But it's mostly dependant on what subreddit you're on. Some of them have pretty nice communities and it's generally enjoyable reading the comments. However, the more general subreddits attract really weird horny guys who clearly aren't getting as much sex as they're making out.

Even when the community is nice i still feel the website ruins any sort of meaningful discourse. Dissenting thoughts are suppressed and the top of the comment section is inevitably filled with one line jokes, stale memes, and other assorted low quality shit posting that appeals to the lowest common denominator.

There will always be 2 types of people in this world. Human beings and assholes.
I cant even begin to tell you how many Tom, Dick and Harry's I've had come through my businesses and work. But I will say one thing, the Dicks out number the rest.

What do you define as good? Donating blood, joining the army? If that's the case then no, most people aren't good, they're just standard. Like you and me, we're just lazy fucks who are occasionally assholes in one way or another.
Plus, good people can still be assholes. I'm gonna quote BoJack and say "Most people are jerks already, and it's not like giving a jerk a gun and telling him it's okay to kill people suddenly turns that jerk into a hero." It's the same thing.

I usually define a good person as someone who genuinely cares for others and his/her selves. People who think only about themselves are the worst though.

Of course everyone can be a arsehole. We're human. But most people on this planet care for others as well.

Yes but most would care at least a bit. Most would feel empathy to whoever died and who it will effect. You'll have to numb to not feel something.

Only caring for your closest friends and family doesn't make you a bad person. A bad person wouldn't even care for those around him/her (unless for a good reason).

I admit, I don't care for some random people on the street, at work. I keep to myself. They're strangers. Why should I care? But if they're in distress or need of help, that's when I'll start caring. And I think we're all like that in a way. which in some degree makes us at least decent people.

Also. Did you read my mind? No word of a lie; That genuinely happened to me on the bus to work. First dead body I ever saw. It was surreal and shook me up for a while.

Nah I only used it as an example because it happened to me the other day on the way to college and I had to fucking walk. All she had was a fucking scratched knee.

Anyway, no, only caring for close friends and family doesn't make you a bad person, but it doesn't automatically make you a good person, either. One would have to actually do something to be considered a good person. Why do you think people don't stop fights when they see them, apart from the fact that it's entertaining? Well, if they're on their own it's because they're scared and if they're in a crowd it's because of the mob mentality.
