I thought it was pretty cool. The very very last bit on the Legendary ending was wonderful.

Haven't played it yet. I kinda wanna try it but none of my friends have it either. Some day.

I doubt I'll ever play it. It's a shame it's not coming for PC...

EDIT: Though saying that Halo 3 wasn't on PC so I don't know why I'm surprised.

I used to play Halo 1 on PC a fair bit back in the day. It was really fun online. I don't see why Microsoft stopped porting them.

The reason I loved the original Halo was the whole "exploring a mysterious alien world on your own surrounded by ambient noises and so forth".

Halo 4 delivered that in spades, so I'm very pleased.

Apparently, I loved it.

Hearing a lot of good things about it so I'll put it on my list for when I'm fully done with AC3. Should be able to get it used somewhere at that point.

The only one I enjoyed was Halo 2, never found what was so special about the others, so I'll probably avoid Halo 4.

I really can't see the appeal of Halo, I've tried it and all, but it just didn't click.

I think the point he was trying to make was that the joke isn't funny anymore. I'm fed up of it, I can't talk about any game without somebody saying that, so I'm not even sure why I bothered replying.

I can't be too mad at Saville; I rarely get out of town, and he fixed it for me to milk a cow. I had to do it blindfolded, though.

I think the appeal is that it’s basically a space opera with (mostly) intelligent and varied enemies in some pretty and interesting environments.

Halo 4's campaign wasn't my favourite.

The multiplayer more than makes up for it, though.

I did like the environments, but I got bored really quick. Maybe it's because I never cared much for FPS's, with a few exceptions.

If you never cared much for FPSes, have you considered that perhaps your opinion doesn't count for much in this thread?

I say this as someone who doesn't care much for FPSes and thus hasn't posted what he thinks of Halo.

I dunno about that. I reckon someone who has played Half Life casually has just as much right to criticize Halo as someone who has played every single FPS ever.

Although I'm not into FPSes, I really like Mirrors Edge, both Portal games, Bioshock, Dishonored and Quake 3 with friends. They're among my favourite games, but I can't still like Halo. I say this not because I want to make fun or trash-talk about Halo or anything. It's more like how I was disappointed when I played it. Everybody was saying, "it was one of the best games ever" and yet, it did nothing for me.

Mirrors Edge, Portal and Bioshock are far too different to compare.

All of those games are too different to compare, even with Halo.

I dunno about Quake 3. I mean, it's the standard I judge pretty much every FPS I play by.

The only one that came close was Unreal Tournament.
