Intros/Openings III

It's simple, what are your favourite TV/Movie intros?

I have to go with this.

Wings of Fire 10-21-2012 12:08 PM

In every thread like this ever.

Also this.

I have a really big hard on for these currently.

And this is a classic.

STM 10-21-2012 01:19 PM

Can I just ask - this isn't me trying to be a bastard or anything - but does anyone watch other people's videos? I'm genuinely interested.

Dynamithix 10-21-2012 01:33 PM

Well I usually check what's posted on Music V5 but almost never actually listen to them. I do listen to stuff that certain members who share a similar taste in music post though. Other than that I usually check Bits 'n Pieces videos if there's something there.

I watch everything not posted in the music thread, and anything by Animal Collective or Fleet Foxes posted there.

Crashpunk 10-21-2012 03:00 PM

I remember posting this in the other thread but whatever I'll post it again.

Futurama's into remains my all-time favourite TV Intro. Such a catchy tune.

Here are a few I love as well.

Mainly for the song.

How could I NOT post this.

The South Park intro is a classic.
Can't embed the video however...

And lastly, The Walking Dead. This one always gives me the chills.

Jordan 10-21-2012 03:30 PM

Awesome theme song and opening!

scrabface 10-21-2012 03:35 PM

there is so much going on in this opening, much is unravelled in the end of the movie, but it immediately caught my attention. next to Ghost in the Shell, Mind Game is definitely the best anime out there.

Steamer_KING 10-21-2012 03:48 PM

Maybe not that great, but man, I really do like it.

Littleleeroy 10-21-2012 11:52 PM

Dexter, like Steamer_KING said and FRINGE!! :D

I get goosebumps everytime I listen to this :)

Mac Sirloin 10-21-2012 11:53 PM

This gets better every time I watch it. Again and again and again and again and again.

I couldn't find the actual opening but you don't need it. This music is just...amazing.

Since actually linking to an opening would have that specific episode's voiceover bit here's this.

You are both bastards, I was going to post these!

It's weird, I always get hungry when watching the Dexter intro.

E: Fuck it, might as well.

Standard

From the episodes set in 1985

From the alternate universe episodes

The year 2026

Separate timeline

Observers 2036, this is probably the most different one.

I had to.

Everytime I see this, I remember Portal 2 and it's Vintage testing rooms.

Nepsotic 10-22-2012 08:57 AM

Because of the music?

Because of the music?

And the graphical style of the intro and the idea of switching between times, as you can see the older versions of the logo of Aperture Science. Maybe it's just me, I don't know.

Mr. Bungle 10-22-2012 04:49 PM

I was going to post the Home Movies intro but I remembered it doesn't really have one. Well, it sort of does, but it's mostly just a still image with an awesome guitar line over it. Anywho, I couldn't find anything of the sort on Youtube, so here's Trailer Park Boys

You are amazingly awesome! I also get hungry when watching the Dexter intro, that is why I started making sure I had food ready to start eating when I start watching it. :D

Goddamn it, I forgot this one and these:

(This is an episode, but it has the correct intro)

Ha, I'm actually watching that right now.

Varrok 10-23-2012 07:54 AM

You don't have to post that you're actually watching the video somebody linked

Ridg3 10-23-2012 08:20 AM

To follow the OP;

The creepiest music with the creepiest sounds for the creepiest opening scene.

Mr. Bungle 10-23-2012 08:29 AM

Fond memories of hiding under a blanket as a kid when this came on.

DarkHoodness 10-23-2012 09:17 AM

Have I Got News For You - I can't find a vid containing just the intro. I like how it changes every couple of years to satirise current political events.

Classic:

More classic (and probably obscure):

I meant the show.

Yes, what Ridg3 posted. Damn, I forgot Asylum has started.

Crashpunk 10-24-2012 01:11 AM

How many people I'm I going to piss off posting this?

Strike Witch 10-24-2012 02:52 AM

Dynamithix 10-24-2012 04:25 AM

I remember this was on MTV when I was younger. I also remember that the series didn't make any fucking sense at all.

MeechMunchie 10-24-2012 04:52 AM

scrabface 10-27-2012 01:45 PM

really funny show and film

Mr. Bungle 10-27-2012 04:52 PM

Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy is the shit.
