No one fucking cares, and neither should you. If some of your friends post irritating stuff in Facebook but you don't want to remove them from friends, just go to their profile and put the status updates so that it won't show them on your wall. I've done that to almost everyone in my friends list to be honest.

I might just close my account, I have like 250 friends and I only like about 5 of them IRL.

Everyone has friends like that, it's no big deal, you just ignore the shit or delete them.

There's a reason why every one of my friends on Facebook are people who I've met IRL or at least vaguely know from other places on the internet.

Remember last time you complained about Facebook? Remember how I said that people at your age are annoying shits and that in a few years they'll get better? Remember how I said I know that from experience because I have friends that posted similar things who have now matured?

I couldn't give too fucks. If you don't like annoying posts, un-friend that person. You don't like posts from a group you've subscribed to? Un-subscribe. Don't like Facebook? Stop using it. Why whine about it here? Also, I hope those are generic posts and not from actual friends you know on Facebook, you didn't even censor the names. Kinda creepy really.

I go even further than this and try to keep internet bullshit and IRL bullshit separate. I only have a small cluster of Facebook friends, but they’re all people I’ve met and hung out with and like.

You should have blocked out the names. It's unnecessary to reveal them, even if there's no chance of us knowing them.
I don't use Facebook, but I do see things like this around the internet. The thing about it that irritates me is seeing kids think they've got their shit together and have some experience under their belt. They don't know shit, yet they show real bitterness and speak in pseudo-profundities. Teenagers are going to be just that, but there's an air of smarminess about it that gets under my skin.

Real pain is debilitating. Just read my 2011 blogs!

One of the few things I hate about Facebook is the sick fucks that dwell on the site. The other day I saw Dixanadu was arguing with some cunt who had created a group along the lines of: "Cancer is funny because it kills people." That sort of shit doesn't fly with me, I think it's the first time I've ever used that little report button they have on pages. People who hide behind their computer screens and write up shit like that to justify their existence can go die in a hole.

Oh I saw that group. Why can't people realise that the dude is a hideous troll and should be ignored.

A lot of people who have been affected by cancer don't see that though. They see a nasty arse cunt stirring peoples emotions. I know that's pretty much the definition of trolling (god I hate that term), but it's still gonna be painful to anyone affected.

The worst one's are the pictures of people with joking captions on them.

Remember when pregnant women were taking thalidomide and it caused their children to have birth defects?

There was a picture of some children with extremely short arms due to their mothers taking thalidomide and it had a caption that said "Look, we are velociraptors".

As if that didn't already disgust me enough, it pissed me off more that I had friends commenting on how hilarious it was.

Stuff like that anoys me too. Not because of how offensive it is (I enjoy Sickipedia), but purely because it isn't funny. And surprisingly, none of my friends have commented on my Ponyfagness yet, except my real mate Will who keeps posting photos of pony merchandise and tagging me in them. Why, just before he posted a picture of him in Tesce holding Applejack Spaghetti.

I asked him to buy it for me.


I also hate Sickipedia copypasta. Especially when it's not funny. They get loads of likes and the person who posted it thinks he's a genius.

Facebook was born from a person with mind, intuition and abilities and a person with sex, life and emotions. They were in love.

I recently deleted my Facebook, tired of the memes, soapboxes, and drama. Seriously though, the soapboxes are the fucking worst. At this point they reach almost Reddit levels of circle jerking, the only people who like or comment will agree with you, and then you just think you're so cool because you're being jizzed on all over on Facebook in a circle jerk. You will change no one's mind by making a shitty post saying Chikfila is evil, even though at the end you say you're still going to eat there yourself. The fact that their isn't an unlike button cements my point that there is no realm for actual discussion on Facebook, can't hurt anyone's feelings, can't disagree.

I like it when people argue that it helps you stay in touch with people. Not like there aren't a million other devices or networks you can instantly connect to or anything, no sir.

To me facebook is just a major waste of time. Surely, it can be a convenient tool of communication, just like a cellphone or AIM. However, some people are taking this too far. It seems that some maintain profiles just for the sake of it like some sort of internet tamagotchi. All this applies to the LiveJournal as well which is even more of a bandwidth/time waste. On the other hand, nobody makes you read all that so feel free to pull the lever to your right to stop caring and close facebook/whatever tab in your browser.

I myself don't have a facebook or LJ page and don't feel like having one. There's only one thing about LJ and such sites that is quite annoying and hardly avoidable at the same time: sometimes all that usless content really clogs up internet search with irrelevant search results, for example when you search for some abbreviation such as machinery's factory marks trying to get technical readouts and get completely irrelevant stuff.

I have a Facebook account but it's under a fake name and I only use it to sometimes leave unfunny comments on my online friends' pages.

Otherwise, though, I don't plan on making an actual Facebook account anytime soon, or at all even. Mostly because I'm not crazy about the whole idea of being contacted by somebody I've known in the past that I don't really want to interact with anymore.

I just hide posts from people that annoy me. easy.

I dissagreed with something one of my friends said on Facebook the other day. It made her deactivate her account.

Facebook doesn't suck, it's the people on it.

I use Facebook and yes there are idiots on there but you just have to ignore them. It's a good way to get in contact with someone and also keep track with stuff. *eg Oddworld always post stuff on Facebook.
