Munch's Oddysee HD will come on PC?
Hi
i know that Munch's Oddysee HD will be released on ps3, but it comes on PC? I heard that it will be diffused as an update for those that already bought the normal game... it's true? And for what reason i cant' find any information about the PC version? |
Yes, it will come out on PC and it will be a free update for anyone who already owns MO on Steam. We don't know when, though.
Some time after the PS3 and Vita versions come out.
Munch's Oddysee HD will come on everything
I want to see it on 3DS :(
also ew. |
Is anything Oddworld related ever going to be released on Xbox? I know they had a quarrel, but don't you think it's time they kiss and make up?
The issues with the 360 were only to do with the HD rejigs. They don't apply to Abe HD or any other new games.
That said, there are a whole pile of other issues that independant developers face when dealing with Microsoft. So let's not count our chickens too early. |
Do you mean the fact that everything they do has to be Microsoft approved, like DLC and stuff? Whereas Sony give them more freedom. I think it's something like that.
Microsoft certification is pricey, and arduous as is attempting to patch a released product.
Fez had to re-release a buggy patch because Microsoft charged an enormous price to put out a new bug-free one.
Also, this.
The real question is: will Munch's Oddysee HD come out on OUYA?
Knowing Stewart's love for android, that is probably a big no :p |
:
I'd love to release on Ouya. Also: Oculus Rift.
Make it happen Wil, we know JAW loves to port the Oddworld games on every available platform.
Also Oculus Rift is just the next step forward of geeks playing with cool tech, somehow I'd not be surprised it would be compatible with some of the Oddworld HD games. |
I want Oddworld Adventures on my Xbox, why aren't JAW doing worthwhile stuff like porting that?
Initially, the Oddbox wasn't acttractive to me, as i had all the original games and the versions of Munch and Stranger offer no real improvement. But with the HD update for both games, i strongly consider buying the box.

Sorry, what the hell just happened? Normally we'd have guys like this on the prom stage covered in pig blood already.
We have a prom stage?
It's an example of emotionally traumatic bullying, and also a reference to the film Carrie.
The more you know... |
That's enough spamming, thanks.

When is Munch HD due to come out for PS3? As one of the people who genuinely enjoyed and wasn't disappointed by it back in the day, I'd quite like to know! :P

Also, MO HD was revealed to be getting its release over the next few months, as they said at Euroamer Expo, with trialling for the PS3 version hapening this month. Very excellent indeed. |
Marlz... I was joking.
I really don't think porting gameboy games is JAW's top priority... |
Haha, of course... although, bundling them together as a smaller future project would be rather nifty, joke or otherwise. Yes, I liked those games, shush.
Er, I mean, shiny MO HD! Yes, cannot wait. I'll admit, I haven't had much time to actually play MO myself since buying it, which is a real shame, but I'm making the effort to finish it before it HD-ifies. And I love it, pure and simple, only problems I've had have been due to my problematic controller... as well as adjusting to the more strategy oriented combat. |

You're lucky. |
MO is fun.
For 5 minutes, and fun is all it has. For 5 minutes.
I thought MO was awesome. Try to convince me otherwise. :3
I think I would of liked MO more if it was on PS2...
For the longest time I only had the GBA version.
By comparison, it's marvelous, and even without comparison, it's great. It exceeded all expectations, especially for an Xbox launch title. (and despite apparently having had tons of content that never ended up making it in) Sure, it doesn't hold a candle to AO or AE, but as the next Quintology entry and the first 3D Oddworld game, it does the series much justice. Everything about the mechanics of Abe's first two games transitioned into the next dimension in a way that kept the same feel and enjoyment, but molded it to the new setup. And Munch is a very welcome new Inhabitant and hero. Say what you want Nep, I'm loving it and my opinion is unlikely to change. ^^ :
