Slig Suicide - A Journey Through Self Destruction
A little someting that I worked on a while ago in order to test out my, "Blood n' Shit" Gore Engine. This game isn't designed for story, it's designed for fun and to test your puzzle solving abilities. Who hasn't wanted to push a suicidal slig into a meat grinder? You have, I know you have. Barrels of laughs, and fun for the whole family.You guys can have a release once a few more levels are done. Like I said it started as a test, not a game. This game is inspired by the, game Karoshi: Suicide Salaryman, I advise you give this a try if you haven't played it before. Public Release
Here it is! Your public release. Feel free to post any bugs you may find, or compliments if you're willing to go that far.
Controls: Horizonal Movement-Left and Right Arrow Keys Jump-Press Up Arrow Key Restart Level - Press R Key The aim is to kill yourself. Find ways to do that. Simple, right? The levels get progressively more and more harder, but since these are the first 10 levels you guys get to take it easy, but future levels will have more unusual, and illogical solutions. It's an Oddworld after all. Download Here Have fun. |
Hmm, a bit laggy but that could just be the PC I'm using. So far, I really like it! OWF's first finished (sort of) fan game! I love the blood fountain you get when you die. The amount of effort put in really shows your loyalty to this project and it's fun to play. Well done so far.
E: Well, I finished the demo, and it's quite impressive, especially with the short amount of time it took you to make. |

Haha, I love it Joshy, lots of blood 'n shit, it really stays true to the name of the engine! I can't wait for the sound engine to be added! ^.^
Will future levels up the difficulty? Because as Varrok suggested, the only thing that I noticed so far was that the puzzles were quite easy to solve, even for me. ;D 10/10 keep it up. |
You actually can't get more up than 10/10, so in my opinion it's more like 8/10. Try harder xD
Will you work on walking sprites? There are too little frames compared to nicely animated deaths |

The aim of these first few levels were just to allow you to get a feel of all the hazards you have at your disposal. And for 'illogical' solutions, if you've ever played Karoshi you'll understand how illogical the solutions often are. :

Wow, Slig Suicide really suits monochrome and skewed to the right. ;) Bu seriously, thanks man. Thanks to that i got to see how people reacted to the puzzles, so far the only one that seemed to cause confusion, for you atleast, was the barrel dropping one.

Sorry for the double post but needed post some updates.
I am currently working on adding more levels to the game, especially more challenging and puzzling. Some so complex I'm having to make some more to smoothen the difficulty curve out abit. Hoping to get up to 15 rooms, if not 20 for the next release. I've added Laser Sensors, which despite originally being a hindrance and therefore helpful in killing yourself, still have the ability to do mean things to you, like stopping you from jumping in that spike pit. Here's a shot of one of the newer levels, still in testing. It's twice as big as the previous levels, being 640x480 rather than, 320x240.
