I only watched Ubisoft's last year simply because I wanted to see the news on Driver: San Francisco, I watched all of the conference because I didn't know exactly when they were goona talk about Driver, putting up with Mr Caffeine was a real task I tell you, I seriously hope they do not bring him back this year!

I know EA are bringing out more news about the new NFS : Most Wanted (yeah seriously how desperate are they for ideas to be doing a remake of that already), but Need For Speed sucks so I don't care, I just hope something new is said about Forza Horizon.

Hoping to hear something about Anarchy Reigns since apparently the American release date was dropped. Also Doom 4 and maybe Half Life Episode 3, although I'm not really getting my hopes up. I don't really care what Valve does any more.
I cannot give a shit about Nintenpoo and the Wiipoo. Wii U is a dumbassed name. I liked it better when they gave stuff badass codenames like ULTRA, and Dolphin, and Revolution. But no. Wii U it is and always will be. Ugh. |
I agree with the name Wii U. it sounds retarded. What happened to names like Game Boy and GameCube? those names were great...
anyway, despite the names, I'm still a Nintendo fan-boy at heart and I can't wait to see what they have to show. I'm really hoping for some news on the new Smash Bros game, Animal Crossing: Jump Out (The 3DS version), Pokemon Black & White 2, Pikmin 3 and Luigi's Mansion 2. my body is ready anyway I'm actually hopping that sonys and microsofts e3 go a lot better than last years e3 or so I've heard that it was bad (wish I could be at e3) also I want a reason to keep coming back to them. I also hope wii U gets a new name (my vote goes to super wii and wii stream :P) ... I can't really get that exited though... |

I watched it last night, their advert for the Miiverse was uttely terrible yet I liked it.

The Wii U Pro controller doesn't remind me of the 360 controller at all. Everyone says they look the same, and I can KIND OF see it, but to me it looks like a shoddy knockoff PS2 controller made by Madcatz. I really genuinely dislike everything I've seen about the Wii U and all that Nintendos done lately. I want to play a fucking game, not be dazzled by gimmicks. I don't want to hold a big retarded tablet in my hands to play a game.
What I'm trying to say is, Metroid: Other M was terrible. |

I thought the controller looked like the Xbox 360 one but that's not a problem for me. I like it, and would rather use that instead of the tablet. I just know they'll make people pay a bomb for it though.

It's an ugly design is what I'm saying. The 360 controller is the most comfortable to hold but it's still kind of like a giant grotesque bicuspid. The Pee-You one looks exactly the same, so Nintendo is taking leaps forward in gimmicks and wandering around aimlessly with the actual basic gameplay device. Wheeee.
And yeah, that shit will be like 60 bucks in Canada no doubt. |

I thought Microsoft's conference was better than the one last year, I thought the South Park game and Tomb Raider looked pretty cool. The new Halo 4 footage was pretty cool too. I'm really looking forward to Ubisoft's presentation, bring on Rayman!

Halo 4 looked boring. Tomb Raider and Splinter Cell look kind of interesting. I was mostly interested in Resident Evil VI, which is gonna be awesome. The gameplay looks really fun, you can actually move while shooting!

Aside from the obvious heavy weights on E3 this year, I'm particularly interested in Dust 514 which will be announced and spoken about in Sony's presentation tommorow. It's an FPS extension of the EVE Online universe and will be the very first MMOFPS that will be persistently tied to an existing MMO, sharing the same server, currency, chat channels, clans, market, items, etc.
It's the very first time something like this is ever being done and CCP (the company behind EVE and Dust 514) is aiming for this game to be a heavy weight alongside Call of Duty, Battlefield and Halo. Sony is collaborating with them very closely and have approved a 10 year expansion plan where the game will be constantly updated over the years, adding new content (not just map packs, entirely new features, locations, weapons, graphics) with each expansion. And all of this will be completely free. You can download the game from the PS Store and earn money. You'll be able to buy currency in the PS Store as well to unlock certain items faster, but there is nothing in the store that can't also be unlocked by regular playing. I'm not a console shooter enthusiast, especially not on the PS3 because it has an absolute horrid controller for shooters, but I am very very VERY interested to see how this game will score and how long its lifespan is going to be. CCP is aiming to establish a new genre in console gaming, a new way of publishing games. Instead of churning out new games every year, they want to keep updating this game for the next 10 years. Anyway, have a look at the presentation and judge for yourself. Keep in mind that all the items, equipment, vehicles and strikes are all player bought, owned and/or performed. The money you earn during matches can be used to upgrade your tank fitting, soldier fitting and if the person who issued your contract is online in EVE, they can even bombard the battlefield you are playing on. Straight from one game into the other, live. So much awesome stuff and idea's, very exciting. Anyway I'm rambling. Watch the vid. |

Dead Space 3 looks like shit, they added co-op and human enemies. There goes the last bit of atmosphere of that series...
In another news, Ubisoft's presentation ended and so far it's the best one, Watch Dogs, the new IP, looks really cool and unique and Rayman Legends looked quite nice. Zombi U seems okay too. |
Rayman Legends looks just too perfect. I know it's coming out on PS3/360 but I just want to hear someone say it already.
