If there's one game series that doesn't deserve its own thread it's Angry Birds. Fuck that game.

This is the first angry birds extension/spinoff that actually changes the gameplay at all. And if it can get people interested in NASA and space exploration, then I hope it does that. But I tried it and was bored and frustrated by it, so meh.

Gameplay looks exactly the same to me. Oh well, I guess I can't say much considering I got pissed off at AB on my phone before finishing the first 10 levels.

Christ, They keep churning out the same game over and over again don't they? That same game with it's extremely frustrating levels and boring gameplay. Fuck Angry Birds.

Don't get me started on how much I hate angry birds. It's the most overrated bag of wank on the planet. Except this one. This is the most overrated bag of wank in the universe.

And Worms 3D was a brilliant game how did it almost ruin Team 17? They made Worms 4: Mayhem and many other Worms games after it.

The only games I play without being pretty certain I'll enjoy them are those I can get cheaply from a bundle or PWYW sale. Worms 3D was an exception; I was offered it on cheap when I bought another game (can't remember what). It wasn't worth it.

Worms 3D was okay - Slightly more fun than Hogs of War, and definitely fun enough for me to replay 3 times. But nothing Team 17 has made has bested Worms: Armageddon. Not even Worms: Reloaded... And man, I wish I didn't waste £12 on that.

Anyway, on topic, I never got the hype with Angry Birds. It doesn't seem that fantastic... The stuff made by Pop Cap like Peggle and Plants vs Zombies was a hell of a lot more fun. Even though they were very popular, there wasn't as much hype over their games. Shame, really. Maybe it's 'cause Angry Birds filled a newly-opened niche on the smartphone game market.

Reloaded certainly wasn't very good, but probably only in comparison to its predecessor World Party. Now that one was the best. Still the first thing on the agenda when nerdy guests come calling, after all these years.

My mom is addicted to this franchise. I have a version on the mac, but never play it.

I've only played Angry Birds Chrome but I think it's quite fun (and I can't imagine the real thing would be much different). I dunno about any hype, but it's not a bad game.

It's not really a bad game it's just that it's been done many times before and it's definitely nothing new and Rovio just got lucky that it got as popular as it is right now.

Angry Birds isn't intended to be the "next big thing" like Assassins Creed III or Bioshock Infinite. It was purely intended as a little gimmicky physics toy for people with smartphones. For a casual game they did very well and inspired a lot of other smartphone developers.

Angry Birds was lucky to get popular, and this is the case for many games. Minecraft, Wastelander 2, etc. The hardest thing for any company is to keep a franchise alive. So many times a franchise dies or fails to remain popular. In ten years time, "Angry Birds" may be a phrase that everyone forgets about. Only time will tell.

You can't compare Angry Birds to Minecraft like that. Minecraft did really unique things that people loved. AB was more of a right place, right time thing.

I don't really see anything wrong with this. I'm not going to buy it, but at least they're mixing it up a little for the people that want it.

Minecraft has probably been one of the most unique games in recent years and Angry Birds just isn't as original. Sure the Raving Rabbit like bird characters are unique but gameplay wise, it's just Crush the Castle.

Maybe I was slightly harsh with my criticisms. As a casual game, it's real fun. it's not a awful game.
