Browser Wars (sigh)
Mod Edit: This thread was split off from the Desktop thread circa page 6.
why are you guys using google chrome? |
Because it's an awesome browser. Why are you still using IE?
You keep your Internet Explorer monolith of slowness, I'll keep my rocket launcher Chrome. ;)
you're dumber than you think I think you are if you think google chrome is an awesome browser
I use Opera |
I hardly think what browser a person uses constitutes stupidity.
Unless it's IE or AOL.
Pretty much what JG said.
Opera isn't even that good. Chrome is faster in my opinion.
:
Oh dear.
Are you guys really fighting over which browser you use?
wow. |
Well at the very least it's better than fighting over what forum skins we use.
Because everyone already knows Industrial is the best. |
They both give me a headache.
' the shit? Why Scabface? Just why? I seriously doubt you've tested out Google Chrome because if you have, you would know how much faster it is. Other than that, stop belittling us because of which browser we use ffs. We seriously don't care which browser you use and we certainly wouldn't call you stupid because of it.
Unless you use IE.
Or Shiira.
fuck, guys.
:
:
Chrome is just the best, end of story. :tard:
:
Stop being so childish and just accept that you're outnumbered. Chrome seems to suit everyone except you which might just mean your computer is shit.
-Rep. |
As pointless as console wars, controllers vs mouse & keyboard, Windows vs Mac, or even bitching about different colours...
I use the original Netscape. AM I SMART NOW?
I use to use Chrome but it looked out of place next to my Mozilla Thunderbird icon on my desktop, so now I use Firefox, just so it's all nice and neat. |
:
He's entitled to his opinion, but if he wants to keep telling it to us he'd better get to explaining himself. Why are you anti-chrome? |
I’m not scrabface so his views may differ to mine, but I don’t like Chrome because I don’t like the UI aesthetic – Chrome feels like it’s made from chunky plastic to me, and I prefer the look of Firefox or Opera.
And second, I’m not a fan of Google as a company, and don’t enjoy the thought of them sniffing through my browser data. |
FAI-HURR-FUCKS
They can sniff through my browsing history if they do already, no doubt they'll not want to look again after the first time though.
Ha, same boat kiddo.
I use Firefox because, as Phylum mentioned, it's neat and simple. Never again will I use IE or Shiira (Even Safari is better than it.) As for Chrome, it's never struck me as something that I would want to try and by even looking at it and its "aesthetically pleasing" UI it put me off even more. It might be good, don't get me wrong, but I'll never find out. :
Why the fuck did this become its own thread.
Ah the hell with it. I use FireFox. |
I use Firefox. I've tried Chrome a few times in its lifetime, but it simply doesn't have the clean, alterable interface and powerful, modifiable behaviour I rely on to use the internet.
:
i use Chrome. |
Max's interface is confusing, he can navigate the net with a flick of his mouse.
It's like something out of Iron Man. |
I'm using Chrome right now.
It is the worst computer program I've ever had the misfortune of using, and I've worked with Access. |
*Shudder* Access...
Yeah, I have a query to submit. WHY, WHY? :
i tried 2 browser those being IE when i hadnt had my fixed internet, then opera when i shared a computer, now i use firefox,it suits me good.I dont know how are the other browser but this one is good for me,also every browser has its advantages and disadvantages,i also dont like when firefox lags...
I originally used IE, then I switched to Firefox after about a year. After which, it was still too slow for my liking so I switched to Chrome. It's not as advanced as Firefox because it's so simple and plastic-y. But hey, it gets the job done a hella of a lot faster.
Chrome is clean, organized and seems quick enough. Getting mad about people using it is stupid.
I like the idea of Google sniffing through what I browse. It means they can recommend things to me when I never do online shopping. |

I've used Chrome a few times and think it's a reasonably good browser. The main reason why I stick with Firefox is that it has all the plugins that I need. The secondary reason is that it has an incredibly detailed settings dialogue. If Chrome was as customisable as Firefox in these two ways, I would switch.
Pretty much what Nate said. I've been using Firefox for years, so I'm just used to its customization. I used Chrome for a few months back when it was first released, though, and I thought it was great. Much better than IE or Safari.
