Which ethnicity do YOU like? And other related stuff(Oh but we don't discriminate)

Mod edit: Split from WDYLL.

I don't really find asian men attractive... asian women on the other hand can be beautiful.

JennyGenesis 11-14-2011 12:13 AM

I thought everybody loved Asians!

T-nex 11-14-2011 12:23 AM

I love them in my stew!

Mudokon_Master 11-14-2011 12:57 AM

:O
I love them in my web browsing history.
EDIT: Wait, no I don't. *Deletes history*

Wil 11-14-2011 01:54 AM

Am I the only person who can find people either attractive or not regardless of their ethnicity?

Wings of Fire 11-14-2011 02:07 AM

I have a cute middle eastern boy fetish and a cute Japanese girl fetish.

Mostly I just like cute people.

STM 11-14-2011 02:28 AM

I think there are some attractive women in every country...yep. Probably.

T-nex 11-14-2011 02:33 AM

Every country has their attractive member. But certain ethnicities just seem to have more of the features I like than others. For example, I like the catty eyes that Asian people have. It's hard for other races to have the same physical trait. But I like it.

You don't have to tell us.

I think I once calculated that 67.3% of our active staff members are gay.

That number is probably higher now that Hobo is no longer with us.

I was going to say 'No', but it's a bit more complicated than that for me.

I would say that I'm more likely to find a white person attractive, but when I find an Asian guy attractive, he's really attractive. Plus, Asian guys tend to be quite slender and non-butch, which I like.

When I was in the US, I realised I had a strange liking for black guys in three-piece suits. That one surprised me.

JennyGenesis 11-14-2011 03:20 AM

Black people have never really appealed to me that way, but I totally love Asians for their unique look, I just find foreigners so much sexier because of their accents :D

So basically, you just like anyone who doesn't sound Welsh?

I can understand that.

Wings of Fire 11-14-2011 04:03 AM

How do asians have a unique look? There's two billion of the buggers, at least two dozen ethnicities within asia and they all look different.

Also, black people, white people, brown people and hispanic people have unique looks as well. Not to mention all the other ethnicities.

I like Welsh people to, but foreign accents just add to that sex appeal.

Probably because it is not something I get to hear often.

T-nex 11-14-2011 04:06 AM

I sometimes think spanish people look asian.
Uh... Or mexican. I think I mean mexican. Yea.

See, I feel the opposite to this. I think it may be one reason I don't find asian men very attractive, because the majority people would class as attractive are slender, whereas I prefer people who are built bigger. That isn't to say all asian men are slender.

JennyGenesis 11-14-2011 04:26 AM

The only fat asians I know of are sumo wrestlers!

MeechMunchie 11-14-2011 09:09 AM

Ukranians are hot.

JennyGenesis 11-14-2011 09:13 AM

What would GishyGleb say if he read that?

GishyWho now?

Our greatest member, haven't you heard?

Dixanadu 11-15-2011 01:08 AM

I get the distinct impression this is going to split off into some ethnicity-fetish thread.

Dix does not discriminate in the bedroom.

East Asian and French women seem to have never embraced the concept of waxing.

T-nex 11-15-2011 01:19 AM

I think sometime in the future, hairy is going to be the new "hot". And people with large ears.

I dunno, should we split this thread? Will people really discuss races?

Edit: After some though, splitting it seems reasonable enough. it has enough posts and is off topic enough to warrant a thread.

Mudokon_Master 11-15-2011 01:27 AM

I seriously get excited every time I see Asians in my town. There's just something about them that I love. But when I say Asians, I'm excluding Indians.

T-nex 11-15-2011 01:36 AM

I feel like a bad person.. But there are certain ethnicities that I'm not so crazy about either(in the way they look). I wish I was 100% unbiased... but I'm not ._. I guess we all have been conditioned by media to a certain extent.

Edit: I actually have an interesting question(well, I think it's interesting).
What do you think of one race acting like another race? Such as white kids 'acting' black. or otaku's 'acting' Japanese?
Is that a bad thing? Annoying?

Im asking cos ... in a way, i think it's just another form of racism(not necessarily malicious)... I think that saying that caucasians can't act in a certain way just because they are traits most commonly associated with another race, is wrong. Or viceversa. What about all the different races living in a Caucasian-domianted society? Would they be accused of 'acting' White in their home country as well?

Mudokon_Master 11-15-2011 01:47 AM

Well white kids acting black ... One of the things about modern day society that pisses me off the most. But on the other hand ...
:

otaku's 'acting' Japanese?
Me.

So I guess it depends for me.

T-nex 11-15-2011 01:51 AM

Well personally.... I kind of can't stand people acting like something else deliberately :p.... But I still think they shouldn't like... be hated for it.
For example, if a white kid grows up with Anime. it's only natural they are gonna copy some of the behavior. Or if they have many friends of one culture. We naturally 'copy' others. I mean, I'm sure most most people have noticed they they started to use words and terms that was unique to the friend they spent a lot of time with. For example, a lot of people here at Wirtek say "Oof oof" :p

But when they do it deliberately to be 'cool' or 'cute', I can't stand it. Cos it shows, and it feels forced... And it's no better than a Hipster.

In the butt.

StrangerEastwood 11-15-2011 01:52 AM

It depends on the portrayal, methinks. I catch myself using various foreign phrases and such. It's all relative, really. And, it's kind of odd. i live in a town with alot of black people, and the white kids growing up around them tend to glean various "black" behaviors. As racist as that sounds. I'm starting to ramble, I kinda forgot my point...Damn.

Mudokon_Master 11-15-2011 02:02 AM

I don't think I act like Japanese, although I've always grown up around anime, I'm just absolutely fascinated with the culture. I know a lot about Japan but don't really act like them

enchilado 11-15-2011 02:25 AM

East Asian people generally don't need to wax.

Dixanadu 11-15-2011 02:49 AM

I meant in the downstairs department.

Jordan 11-15-2011 02:54 AM

About the whole acting like another culture thing, it depends on what has influenced said behaviour. If the person has grown up within a society that is heavily based on a certain culture, then I can understand gaining a lot of those traits. After all, it's the same as accents being changed by living in a place for so long, or certain sayings or habits, it's hard to avoid. However, if someone is copying from a celebrity because they think it's cool, it can get slightly irritating.
