What other forums do you visit, if any?

There are a few for me, but this is the one I spend the most time at. The others are:

afterthepostrock.org - music forum
sputnikmusic - music, again
reddit.com - most people probably know of this.
4chan's /mu/ - music, obviously

I used to post on a couple of heavy metal forums until I realized everyone there was completely retarded.

There have been a few other forums I have visited/posted on in the past, but these are the main ones.

So, where else do you post other than here?

The only other forum I regularly go on is one for a silly little open-source MMORPG, and that's only to talk about the development of it.

EDIT: MM posted. I did go on anythinggoesforums.com for a while, and I just remembered about the first forum I ever joined: wallaceandgromit.com. I used to go on there all the time.

I also lurk /a/, /vp/ and /jp, but very very rarely post. I would lurk /v/ but it's even worse than /a/, and that's saying something.

I used to be a member of the Final Fantasy forum that was owned by Cloverfield (Or whatever on earth she calls herself now), Gamefaqs, some random metal forum and IGN.

Oh and I'm also a member of MA and MM's forum, but I stopped going because of real life issues and I'm way too guilty and ashamed to go back. Really.

I was going to join creepypasta.net's forums, but I read that they're selling their website or something, and I don't want to join just to delete my account.

I attempted to be a member of the SCP foundation, but the info they require (such as passcodes) I can't find unless I'm a member. Really shitty of them.

On topic: I've lurked around 4chan and places like that, and I can't figure out why they're so popular.

As far as 4chan goes, I only visit /mu/. I'll occasionally lurk on /b/, but it just gets so fucking retarded.

I quit /b/ back in 2008 and never looked back or gone on ED since.

God, forums eh. Well I did go on a few band dedicated forums but everyone there is a fucking retard (as stated.) God forbid you criticize a band legitimately and not get whiny replies saying that you're a douchebag.

Other ones are local gaming/convention forums from where I'm from. Way to nerdy, like, the kind that goes in depth and detail into why the Hulk can beat Thor whilst painting a giant fucking text scenario that they would encounter.

And what is that SCP thing that GT is on about, I got Society of Catholic Priests but I don't think that that's it.

I have a fanfiction account, but I never use it. I've forgotten the password too.

My question is (after unfortunately reading through the forum and a few of the SCP's; ) Are they actually taking themselves seriously or are they creating hypothetical scenarios/creations just to amuse themselves with.

Nah, they're just making up shit.
As for taking themselves seriously part, it sounds pretty serious, but I'm pretty sure it's for others amusement.

/a/: I don't know why people claim this is the only good anime place on the net. Doubles, doubles everywhere. Yet I still keep going because I've been there for over seven years, might as well go down with the ship.

Most forums I've been banned or just left when they started getting boring. Hard to find places that have a good mix of not being too large, but also having a decent amount of activity that checking in daily doesn't feel like too often.

I also had a FurAffinity account to troll all the sickfucks, but again, i forgot the password.
oh well, the trolling was fun while it lasted.

Also the moderator is an exceedingly dumb faggot who can't seem to decide if he likes general threads or not.

I liked how things were before, instead of having a constant thread full of hundreds of posts going on 24/7 when there's nothing really to talk about chapter or episode wise. It seemed everything that /a/ was originally about is frowned upon. What's the point of an imageboard where image dumping is unacceptable?

My Posting Career is the only other forum I actually visit these days. It's nice.

Mother fucker. I used to go there, I almost never posted in the times I used to visit, so I just quit. A lot of the people I liked there left or weren't as fun anymore, also gvamp is a douchebag.

NeoGaf- The best gaming forum on the net, and their off topic is also really good.

4chan- /soc/, /b/, and /x/ mainly, I go to /v/ to occasionally troll. /r9k/ was the best board ever, fuck moot for deleting it.

/r9k/ is for hipsters and /soc/ is for girls to camwhore.

I only have an account here and in Call of Duty zombies -forum, and I don't go there anymore since I have no interest to play Nazi Zombies anymore.

I used to like /co/ up until the Pony thing got out of hand. If moot gave a damn, he'd probably have changed it to "/co/- Pony and Homestuck General" for a while there. I stopped going to /toy/ when I got sick of trying to explain things all the time in TF threads just to have people accuse me of being David Willis.
