I've been playing the shit out of Super Meat Boy again. I realized that the Warp Zone Bandage Glitch erased some of my level completions, and of course it was on some of the most brutal levels in the game. But I only have four of them left now, as opposed to the approximately twenty five that I initially had to redo.

I finished Super Meat Boy. Again.

Speaking of which, I bought Super Meat Boy today.

They plan on releasing an entire world of levels for The Kid that are just as hard as his previous levels. I am dreading this because I know I will be compelled to complete them, and it's going to make my life hell.

I want to show everyone what a cocksucker Mr. Minecraft is, and how he just plain fucking breaks Super Meat Boy.

That's terrible.

That is pretty stupid, though. I wonder what alternative powers he could have?

I have found out that you pretty much have to 100% the game before you get to use him. So, it's not that crazy, I guess.

I was going to point that out, but I was worried I'd get it wrong and be subject to your disapproval.

But yes, as an end-of-game reward he's perfectly appropriate. I know plenty of games that reward your lawful completion of the game by allowing you to screw the entire thing up.

It's still irritating though, because the game breaking character that 360 users get from 100%'ing the game is not game breaking at all, and is in fact almost impossible to use.

Yeah, that comment would be a lot more effective IF YOU TOLD ME WHO THAT WAS.

It's Meat Ninja. Meat Ninja plays identical to Meat Boy except that if you press a button at the exact moment that you hit a saw you will teleport through the saw. Not only is this difficult as hell to pull off, but teleporting through a saw usually just face plants you into the next saw.

So basically a glitchy Meat Boy.

I'm still playing Super Meat Boy. I finally finished getting A+'s on all of the Dark World levels yesterday, and then I did some speed runs. My over all ranking is now 368. I'm pretty sure I can get into the top 100 as I still have a ton of speed runs left to do.

So far, the average feeling I've gotten from Super Meat Boy since before I played that music has been this:

Well.... You just finished Chapter 1, and haven't unlocked any Warp Zones yet. I dare say that there will be some anger in your future if you keep going. Shit is hard.

I die all the time and I'm happy about it, like in IWBTG.

I find that what drove me insane in Super Meat Boy is that I would progress a little further each time, finally figure out how to get past the last obstacle...., and then the retard living in the back of my head would take over, and I would die fifty times on the easiest parts of the level. That shit was infuriating.

But I was never mad at the game. The game is perfect. I'm the retard.

SMB is indeed infuriating, but good infuriating. Took me a while to beat C.H.A.D and I felt like a complete shit stick afterward because he wasn't that hard. I love it, but don't have the capacity to sit down at it for extended periods of time.

Is C.H.A.D. the big guy that would pound his fists on the platform you stood on? He gave me some trouble.

He wasn't that hard, just based on trial and error.

Those fucking worms, though. I HATED that fight. It's completely dependent on them jumping at the saws, but there's no guarantee when or if they will. It was legitimately the only time in SMB where I said "Okay, that is some legit bullshit."

Otherwise it's absolutely perfect.

I sort of cheated with the worms.


And C.H.A.D. was very fun for me.

The worst part is that if I'd spent a third of the time I spent trying to beat them normally figuring out how to do something like that I probably could have avoided a solid 45 minutes of gritted-teeth frustration.

You're absolutely correct. In fact, both of those bosses break from the game in ways that they really shouldn't. But yeah, the worms are fucking stupid. There is no telling what they are going to do, or why they are going to do it.

Those worms were utter bullshit. That fight took me the longest because they were so unpredictable.

I'm stuck on the last level of The End, and have been for a while. I kind of gave up a while ago.

That level isn't so bad. I can beat the Dark World version in like 17 seconds.

I'm stuck on the same level as Mr. Bungle, I just run through almost to the end then start, well, getting killed by the really easy stuff for some reason. At the moment I'm trying to beat more Darkworlds and such.

My favorite levels are the Warp Zones. I freaking love replaying the Warp Zones. Except for the ones in Chapter 5. Those are awful.

I think I'm on the Ogmo Warpzone in The Forest. It's represented by what looks like butter and is placed before the very first level.

I'm also having a lot of difficulty with it.

That's not the Ogmo level. The Ogmo level is in Chapter 2. What you are talking about is called a Glitch Level. There is one for every chapter, but unlocking them is completely random. Occasionally, when you start a level, you will hear a strange noise, and see Bandage Girl spinning around and glitching. If you make it to her when she is doing this you will unlock the Glitch Level.

An easy way to force it is to start a level where you can see Bandage Girl from the beginning, and keep killing yourself until she starts glitching. Try to do it on an easy level, one that you are fairly confident you can make it through in one try because if you die you are going to have to do the whole thing all over again.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the glitch levels are some of the hardest levels in the game. They aren't as bad as The Kid, or the Dark World of The Cotton Alley, but they are pretty damn tough. If you are having a hard time with it, I wouldn't worry about it. Come back to it once you've gotten some later Dark World level experience.

My over all ranking is now about 240. I will get in the top 100, damn it. I will.

I bet they're going to keep releasing secret(ish) stuff like that in updates or something. Gosh darn do I love this game.

They intend to release a whole slew of shit for it. All of it being free, too.

I keep meaning to ask, do you have this on the 360 or on Steam?

360. Considering the time I've put in to N+, I wouldn't be comfortable playing it on anything else.

Makes sense. You need to get online at some point so that you will show up on my leaderboards.

I've got one or two replays that I think are pretty impressive. My lack of onlineness is attributable only to the fact that my Xbox is about as physically far from an internet connection as can be.

Assuming I can find a decent stapler however, I might be back online pretty soon.

Might take a (short) break from SMB to play some HL2 and Audiosurf. I dug out my old gamepad, so I might give that a whirl first.

I completed N, so I dare say I'll get this done at some point.
