That was really disillusioning. I heard him interviewed on the radio a while back and he did every one of those Futurama and Looney Tunes quotes word for word. Even identical inflections. It's like he only has one line of Zoidberg's to say.

I think I know what you mean. I saw another video of him doing pretty much the same character phrases and he said, "God I do the same thing every time. I have no imagination." He probably gets tired of doing impressions for people after a while, and I suppose he doesn't write his own parts does he?

It was strange when, my sister pointed out to me that on iCarly (I don't expect you guys to know this show) they had Greg Patillo, the beatboxing flute guy. It was funny because he is my old german teacher's brother.

No, they do not write their own lines. However, when it comes to actors like Billy West, who is very much a comedian in his own right, they can always find a way to "make it their own" - improvisation is a big part of being a successful actor.
And I'm sure he does get tired of it sometimes, but I can tell in his face when he reminisces that he's truly happy doing what he does. He had a rough childhood, voice acting was one of his only outlets.
