Oddworld Tattoo, back design (Suggest?)
 

Hey guys and girls, this is my first post so take it easy on me ;)

I have started on designing and getting my Oddworld tattoos'
I plan to have a complete back design done in the end.

I currently have a Scrab, in the middle of my back, towards the left side. (Image below).

I am now debating on either getting a Paramite, level with the Scrab on the other side of my back.

OR, follow the AO good ending layout with two Scrabs up higher, and two Paramites lower.

I will also have the temple rockarts/abe scars, etc.
Not sure on where to place things, Im also looking for suggestions, So let me know what your ideas are.

Paramite below left, Paramite below right
Bigface middle left, Abe middle right, Bigface holding Abe's arm up, Abe just let's go a fart (watch his face) (is gonna hurt to ink this into your spinal cord)

I think that is what I am going to do :)
Except, the scene will be outside, while its dark, with a mudokon moon in the night sky with stars.

Also, I dont want the scrabs and paramites on each side to be the same..
Could someone try help me find a good quality picture of a Scrab howling?

I looked and I couldn't find any, but The Oddworld Graphics Gallery has plenty of other images you may want to use.

Yeah ive been through TOGG alot, found most of my stuff there.
It seems the only images of Scrabs/paramites are all from the same angles/stance. Which will make it abit difficult.

Also, correct me if im wrong,
The Mudokon moon only has 3 fingers in AO, and 4 in AE?

Im trying to make my tattoos based around AO more, so I dont want to screw it up. :)

That was my original idea,
To have a Shyrkull on the centre stone instead of Bigface and Abe,
But the only images of a Shrykull are very fuzzy, if you see what I mean when you look at the imagine you linked me too..
If you could help me find a clearer one, it will be the centrepiece of my back n_n

I'm correcting you because you're wrong.

In Abe's Oddysee Mudokons and therefore their moon have 4 fingers, this was changed to 3 shortly before Abe's Exoddus was made.

I searched that long ago for my desktop and... absolutly nothing.

I've been searching for a long time also,
The only clearer picture is the one on the AO Size chart, but half of the Shrykull gets cut out..
And I wouldnt trust a tattooist re-drawing it, I just have a feeling they wouldnt get it right.

It was originally four fingers, but it was retconned and mudokons now officially have three fingers.

That is also the best around seems to me.

Good job but i suppose they are no good for a tatoo; for that you need clear lines.

Play the games and take screenshots when you see a Scrab in the right pose.

And yes, it seems all those images are the best available, looks like im finding someone to re-draw them for me..

And as for my girlfriend,
She loves the idea, and is in love with the Scrab on my back as it is :fuzwink:

Wow, you can get nerdy tats and your girlfriend likes em. You really are lucky. I think you could be interested in merging a Scrab with the water swirl, Water swirl in the background and Scrab in front, or shrykul whichever

Anyway..
I was hoping to get afew suggestions here -

You need color and a paramite too.
And you should tell us how much tatoo you whant.
If you whant many more maybe you can tatoo mudokons and native creatures on half and industrial creatures on the other half:confused:

I plan to get 2 scrabs, 2 paramites and a Shrykull on my back,
And industrial/native characters for a sleeve design :)

And i know i'm silly but...you should really ask if they can make a shrykull.
If there is any picture on the web i guess, for something like this, you could consider writing a letter to oddworld inabitants asking for a shrykull stamp;).

Not really. I figure that as long as I never sink to the level of tattooing a video game character on my body, I'll be okay.

Making tatoo is a good way to keep your favorite memories always with you and feel less influenced by socety or environments.:fuzblink:

Sweet Scrab tattoo. Did you drawing it yourself?

I've seen people with eye tattoos. That would be pretty cool to make your eyes yellow or something, but I've been told it hurts.

Yeah, I'd recommend colours contact lenses rather than cosmetically altering the chemistry of your iris.

Uh.. I don't think Iris-tattoos exist yet. It's more like the white part. Someone tattooed the whole thing blue.

Yeah. I saw a show where a murderer in prison was being interviewed on how he tattooed his eyes. From what I collected you stick the needle just under the thin outermost layer of skin on your eye and inject the ink, so it covers the whole surface. I guess that's what you do when you have a lot of time on your hands and/or insane.
