Idiotic Politicians

It's a longish video but at least watch the first three and a half minutes. See if you can work out what the guy thinks his point is.

And, of course, the Tea Party movement is wonderful for anyone interested in the more ridiculous side of politics.

Who are you favourite stupid politicians?

Daxter King 10-07-2010 05:55 PM

Bullet Magnet 10-07-2010 06:23 PM

I wonder: which is the correct response to stupid politicians (gee, there's a narrow term)? Laughter? Or pants-wetting terror?

Mac Sirloin 10-08-2010 02:38 AM

A derisive, cynical snort, followed by a swift kick to the jubblies for them.

Dynamithix 10-08-2010 02:46 AM

Watch the whole thing, it's fucking hilarious.

STM 10-11-2010 10:06 AM

How about BMP leader Nick Griffin.

OANST 10-11-2010 10:08 AM

How about him?

How about BMP leader Nick Griffin.

I hate to be pedantic, but that's BNP - Britsh Nationalist Party. And to be honest, I don't even think Griffin's worth mentioning. He's an easy target, and he is a target not even worth thinking about. He isn't worth the energy.

STM 10-11-2010 11:29 AM

Oh yh BNP sorry, yeh I suppose but...he is an idiot

Wings of Fire 10-11-2010 06:58 PM

I'm hijacking this thread with an awesome politician.

STM 10-12-2010 10:58 AM

Bahahaaa no hold on... BAHAHAAAAA HAHAHA HAAAAHA!

Dynamithix 10-12-2010 11:39 AM

"...and it's so appropriate because she's Indian."

Ouch.

OANST 10-12-2010 11:49 AM

This doesn't fit, as it's more endearing than anything else, but I'm putting it here anyway.

STM 10-12-2010 12:11 PM

Aww, such a shweedee, and a good save too!

Nate 10-12-2010 10:33 PM

Surely it's a sign that your campaign has gone off the rails if you begin your advertisements like this...

Dynamithix 10-13-2010 05:17 AM

"I'm you. None of us are perfect..."

That's an insult.

Bullet Magnet 10-13-2010 05:25 AM

She doesn't understand why by the time she goes home from the zoo the primates haven't all turned into humans.

Nate 10-15-2010 04:08 PM

Dynamithix 10-16-2010 12:52 AM

It's funny because she's stupid.

OANST 10-16-2010 06:22 AM

That was possibly the least stupid clip I've ever seen of her.

STM 10-22-2010 08:21 AM

What? Witches? Porno? Your from Texas?

Dynamithix 10-22-2010 09:59 AM

Dynamithix 10-23-2010 08:57 PM

It was a joke, calm down. Also, this bitch just tries too hard:

She just keeps insulting people by saying "I'm you." NO ONE WOULD WANT TO BE HER.

Dipstikk 11-02-2010 06:10 PM

Ohhh, I'm going to have a headache tomorrow. How the FUCK could anyone vote for Rick Scott?!

Bullet Magnet 11-02-2010 06:51 PM

We're going to need a thread for idiotic voters, ie:

http://www.123cam.com/Usa_Webcam/Usa%20Webcam/usa.gif minus Dipstikk and OANST.

Hazel-Rah 11-02-2010 07:09 PM

Why even vote? There are no qualified candidates anymore.

Wishy washy bipartisanship is what's gotten us into every mess and kept corrupt incumbents in power for the last two decades. It's really beginning to blur the lines between the two parties, it's no longer a two party system.

It's one thing to work together towards a common goal but that's not what's going on in America right now, all bipartnership in congress is doing now is giving itself raises and passing pointless resolutions commending football teams for winning the Super Bowl >_>

This is what results from non-compulsory voting. Politicians care less about catering to the majority of eligible voters and more about pandering to their established supporter-base, which results in a widening gulf between the two parties.

Then again, with compulsory voting like in Australia, you end up with two parties who are more or less identical and who do their best to keep election campaigns as dull and lifeless as possible, so it's swings and roundabouts.

Hazel-Rah 11-02-2010 08:55 PM

So force people to vote? Hmm well IDK, I don't like to be forced to do anything. But it's true people would pay closer attention if they had to and that could give third party candidates a better chance instead of people just going with whatever fucking name they hear on TV. I honestly trust Americans enough to make the right choice when they have to.

I'm just against Republicans and Democrats collaborating in congress, we're supposed to have options. Just because one party says "this is right and it's stupid to think otherwise" doesn't make it right.

I absolutely agree, but I don't know enough about the alternatives to think of a better system.

used:) 11-03-2010 03:45 AM

Yay, I live in a red state again.

Bullet Magnet 11-03-2010 06:58 AM

Note voting is a political act in itself. But perhaps if it was arranged that "not voting" had to be declared, and it was made at least as inconvenient as voting itself.

MA 11-03-2010 01:05 PM

fuck those politicians, right?

fuck 'em.

OANST 11-03-2010 01:16 PM

Fucking Republicans won back the House of Representatives. Fucking disgusting.

Dipstikk 11-03-2010 02:00 PM

Don't look at this as a win for the reds. Consider this to be a test- their FINAL chance, and they've got a shit-ton to fix. Typically, they'll fail, and the country will re-elect Obama, or another democrat.

OANST 11-03-2010 02:05 PM

Yeah. I can totally see the bright side in having a couple years of absolutely no legislation getting passed.

Bullet Magnet 11-03-2010 02:10 PM

I've heard a rather convincing theory that the founding father's came up with this system for the express purpose of making the American government extremely impotent. It certainly seems like European countries evolve quicker.

I also heard before Obama was elected that some Republicans didn't want their party to get presidential office this term, since it was going to be a stinker. Let the Democrats take the reigns during a god-awful time, let the country forget about the previous eight years, then saunter back in to reap the rewards of the Democrats' hard work.

"Government is the problem! Vote for us and we'll prove it!"
