Ive never really had my own encounter of paranormal activity ..

But i Lovee hearing SPOOKY shit and storys about ghost encounters :P

So tell me your Encounters with the paranormal .. if you have had any encounters or belive in this sorta shit :)

I've had more than a few paranormal experiences.
I believe in ghosts. I've seen enough to think they exist.
I also hate that whole "If you believe in ghosts, that mean you believe in god" bullshit. There's absolutely no connection between the two other than a very broad notion of "life after death".

One of the best explanations I've heard is that certain environmental conditions are capable of "recording" moments in time. This is backed up by environmental consistencies in active areas, such as a high concentration of quartz in the rock. When the conditions are right again, the moment replays. Science at the moment hasn't been able to explain how this works. Many ignorant skeptics believe that if science can't explain it now, then it will never be explained. Because we all know science totally isn't a progressive practice, right?

As far as intelligent or interactive hauntings where apparitions move and behave independently, there's no particular theory I subscribe to. I do believe it's happened though.

I used to be a big fan of the tv show Ghost Hunters, but it's changed so much over the years and I've lost my taste for it. I do believe that the first few seasons were legit, for the most part. Now that it's become this syndicated series with a huge fanbase and several spin-offs, whatever sliver of genuineness it once had has now vanished.

Erm... 'Science' hasn't been able to explain how this works simply because Science says that it simply doesn't work. No explanation needed.

Science also states that most claims of paranormal or supernatural activity can easily be explained with reference to the fields of Psychology and Human Biology. I would suggest you read this Wikipedia article and its references, in particular #22 'The Ghost in the Machine'

I know all about the contribution of human psychology to paranormal. I once had to write a lengthy thesis on it actually, complete with power-point. Ugh. Despite the reasonable rationalizations of the paranormal, I feel it's far too broad a topic to be entirely debunked. I may be biased based on my own experiences as well, which I've had a time picking apart and rationalizing only to find I was unable to come to a logical conclusion.

I'm kind of embarrassed about it too, because I'm usually all for dashing the hopes and dreams of the happy spiritualists with my cold, sciencey logic. But this is just one of those things.

i think ghost hunters and all that is bullshit, its totally fake, isnt it funny how they NEVER CATCH ANYTHING ON CAMERA, yeah its all fake, but i do believe in ghosts.

I've got to call the whole "crystals in rocks recording and emitting holographic films of events that occured near them" theory bullshit. At the very least, you should expect the odd "plastic bag caught by wind" ghost now and then if it were true.

My sister (whose been practicing far longer than i have) and I were going to cleanse my attic since it was bothering our family.
When we went up there to evaluate the problem, two shadows were apparent on one side of the attic.
I sheilded immediately (just incase), and we isolated them.
Thinking that was it, we called out any dark entities.
There were more than we thought.
On the other side of the room, one jumped out at me and knocked me backwards.
But with proper sheilding I wasn't harmed at all, and the problem is taken care of.



But no, in all seriousness, i've seen weird shit.

I belive in the possiblility. I've seen freaky shit but I doubt my own reliability.

Actually they've caught quite a few things on camera that have caused alot of controversy. But yes, the majority of what they present at the end of the episode is audio.

Ghost shows are bullshit. If they didn't record anything (which they are not going to) then the show is going to go down. It is the easiest thing in the world to manipulate a bit of audio and then add subtitles that approximate the noises.

I guess I believe in ghosts. I've seen Shadow People inconsistently for the last four or five years, and there was the weird huge gray blob I used to see in the dining room doorway once in awhile. And the weird Trenton Shadow Bulldog thing. It's been a long-ass time since I've seen anything significant, and I'm content to just pass it off at this point. I don't like admitting these things because they make me sound like one of those guys.
