The art of Jez
 

I thought I should make a thread about my non-OW art too ^^ Because as much as I love Zoe and my OW fandom, my original stuff is just as important to me.

My most frequent character is Jez/ter, a hyapin (a species created by a friend @dA) hybrid. She is a girl, no matter how boy-ish she looks, she just doesn't have boobs, kay? Then there's rat and a huge serpent (or eel, still unsure) creature that follow her around.

There's also Eva in there for those who've seen my OW art thread, purely because I was too lazy to crop the picture.

It's not a fact is it? It's clearly your opinion. Maybe you are a better artist than me, but you have a whole four extra years experience while I'm still learning.

Opril, your comment was a teeny bit tactless, but never mind. I suggest you post some of your own art before you boast. Otherwise it's a bit like me saying 'Hey, this is where I live!!!'


Dryadri, looks great! I love that rat :p And the character is pretty cool-looking. The eel, also, is well drawn.

The dog and the big fish is obviously a wip, I don't know how long it will take me to finish though. They're only sketches, there's not a lot to say unless you're serious about anatomy and stuff xD

It's much easier when they're coloured so you can say 'Wow, pwetty colours :3" :P

Small update on the second picture, it's still unfinished but I'm working faster than I thought I would.

real nice. good, vibrant colours, too.

That is very cool. The alienness of it is really great and she does look awesome. Though maybe the position of the tail tip over her forehead is a little... awkward? I mean it suggests more than is there. It seems too set-up to be coincidence, but as far as I'm aware you weren't setting anything up.
I hope that made some sort of sense.

A little bit of fanart, just a sketch, but I couldn't help myself. It's supposed to be the Master (John Simm) but I failed and it doesn't even look like him xD It's rare that I draw men, but I tried.

thanks. and once i took a look at the larger version of that picture, i could see resemblances. like the stubble on the jawline, the lips and eyebrows and, of course, the clothing.

Looks very cool. He's too young, but he does resemble the Master. And it does look generally awesome so no worries :p

Yeah, my friends pointed that out too, his hairline is too far forward. But I'm currently digitally painting it, so lines on his face and neck and details in general should age him a little. Another wip of how it looks...with no face, as well as an attempt of a realism Jez eyeball.

He looks more like the Master now. The Master attacked by the IDIOTS LANTERN OMIGOSHROFL!!!!

And the eye is... eye-y. Looks good :D

The idiot's lantern...hmm, I'm guessing that's the one with the voice? Where they go back to the 70's or sometime near?

The second is the same as the first but I think my mum wants as a tattoo.
The third is me experimenting with poses, although it's not that experimental XD

Hmm, do we know who the character with wings is? Looks good; good job :p
And the mice with the dark around their eyes are also pretty cool :D

Aw I really love rats and adore the one picture with the colored ones, I think it'd make a such a nice logo... or even a tattoo. I'd prefer this one rather than the black-and-white version. Probably because this got a shading, and I think it captured their nature better as well.
Not that the other one's bad, I'm just saying.

First and last are of my oldest oc, Leah. Whose boobs aren't that big normally when I draw her (referring to the 'Chica Bomb' picture), nor is she normally drawn naked but I'm thinking of doing some sort of competition on dA and that would be the...mannequin?

The second is..well, me I guess. My ears are a bit smaller than that.
