My rosy - nosed fellows. What alcahol are you having for christmas? (or in general)

I find myself in a house filled with wines and spirits .Whiskey, Rum, Martini and port being my favs. Plus a wonderous variety of beverages that we will undoubtably consume at other people's houses over the holiday.

But what about you?

Not a drinker. Probably nothing. Maybe whiskey if April wants to.

step father's got some Glenfiddich Whisky, and Taboo for my mother. i got myself some cheap Malibu stuff called Cocobay or something, and a bottle of Advocaat seeing as its Christmas.

on Christmas day the pub is open for only 2 hours starting at 11 in the morn, so going down there for a Christmas drink and a toast with mates, then back home for a fucking delicious dinner.

Boxing day will be busier for me though, that's when family come down. managed to scrape through, i honestly thought i wouldn't be able to.

Glenfiddich? Cant say i've tried, it's all about JD.

i honestly think JD is overrated. you need a nice whisky.

then again it all depends on how your taste buds go.

Water, possibly Pepsi (CocaCola is forbidden:D) and about a teaspoon of rum in my cookies.

Jameson, Absinthe, and 'Irish Death', which is quite possibly the best stout I've had in my life, local or not.

Not muchof a drinker, but I am partial to a spot of rum.

Egg Nog - the "adult" version, obviously.
Bailey's at some point, but that's more of a New Years deal.

Sekto, you may want to try out some home-made Baileys, and its easy enough to make yourself, anyway. a couple of nights ago we had some of it around a mates, and it tasted just the same as Baileys but sharper. i don't mean stronger, just sharper with the taste buds, as in you could really taste all the flavours, and it wasn't just like cream that got you pissed. we ended up finishing the bottle, that's how good it was. but he used duck eggs that time, so it was sweeter.

Probably nothing. I take alcohol like a little girl, typically.

Probably this murky stuff with plums, grapes, and some other fruits in it. It has a strong flavor but not too sweet.

I'm not looking forward to the moment the home brews open up. I fucking hate drunk people. As the one sober one left, it becomes my duty to prevent them from hurting themselves. And the ungrateful sods don't even remember!

That sounds superb, MA. If I could get my hands on some duck eggs (which go for a pretty penny over here thanks to their being coveted for more gourmet cuisine), I would gladly whip up my own Bailey's and my own Nog.
Time and money permitting, I'd make a whole batch of both. Thing is, time and money isn't permitting.

Take photos. Post them on local lampposts. See how quickly they remember the evening.

that is true. you don't necessarily have to use duck eggs (you'd know, but for other members), they just make it that little bit sweeter. any eggs will do.

Only kidding, I've never had it. I didn't drink ANYTHING yesterday AT ALL.

just polished off the eggnog. had a helping hand from my younger step sisters boyfriend, but he had 3 and was rather wobbly (legal age, no worries). i thought better of it so i finished the rest off once they went.

I can honestly say that i've never had egg nog. Although it sounds quite tasty.

I've had my bottle of whiskey, so I'm gewd.

technically, its Advocaat, which is also technically eggnog. Advocaat is the stuff used in Snowballs. tastes like a custard version of Baileys when drunk 'neat'. top stuff though, had no qualms sticking with it.

quick 3 pints in pub tomorrow (boxing day) before the family come around the house, then it'll be Stella tins and eventually Malibu (knock-off stuff; cheap but nice).

I drank Vodka for the first time on Christmas eve, my brother was over and brought it, i drank it straight up and threw up all over my house while we were watching Rudolf. I literally went into every room in my house and threw up: on the stairs, the walls, everywhere. My brother thought it was hilarious, I'm never going to drink again lol.

that is why i never mix too many drinks on Christmas/New Years Eve, because nothing ruins it more for yourself and everyone present than throwing up and not getting it down the bog. but you'll get these experiences as you learn, its when its done repetitively that it gives you a bad name and fucks people off. i'm even wary of having New Years shots once it hits 12.

i'm not particularly partial to mixing spirits or knocking back shots, anyway. knock a beer back, never spirits.

Oh I was embarrassed today lol, at first everyone was like "you okay" then during dinner my dad was like "what are you drinking so much for, what are you depressed, what do you have to be depressed about" lol. I wish I would've done this on new years though atleast no one is really jolly in my house on new years XD but I didn't get a headache I thought for sure I would have one today.
