This thread seems to be suffering the fate of pokemon itself: It started with good intentions, but people failed to take it seriously after all it's for kids right? The games where good and suddenly this Ash guy turns up who never seems to be able to succeed at anything on the first try... The series continues stuff happenes and Brock is still a perv :p. *continues rambling for a few minutes* and now the series continues to live through memes and repitition. Pokemon could have been so much more... My favorite Pokemon is Psyduck because that's who I was in Red Rescue Team :). Although Jigglypuff was funny in the series always drawing on the character's faces with a pen :D. Now I shall kick this thread while it's down by saying: I prefered Digimon. |
Digimon is a better anime by far, Pokemon makes for better games, and the Pokemon Special manga is pretty darn good.

It's a shame that so many people around here (England) think that Digimon is just a copy of Pokemon. It's an even bigger shame that Digimon vanished from England completely a few years ago.
I had a lot of fun playing Digimon World & Digimon World 2003 (3 outside europe). I didn't like 2 that much. I played the Pokemon games a lot more though. I haven't read any Digimon or Pokemon Mangas. Actually I haven't read any Mangas at all, I better go searching for some after I finally find a job. |
I used to watch Digimon. Compared to Pokemon it has a hell of a lot deeper story, and it... actually progresses! omg. All pokemon episodes could have happened on the same day. There is no development, no nothing. It never progresses(at least not in the episodes that I've seen and I used to watch the originals). What I would give to see Team Rocket actually succeed in stealing Pikachu for once <.<

Oh believe me it is. I remember names quicker than I remember appearances, and a lot of the newer gen designs don't even look like pokemon to me.
