I dont think the interns dont get to choose what they dont listen to, the headphones play what the Vykkers want at a massive volume to drown out almost all thought

I thought that the Interns willingly listened to their music to drown out their own empathy/ethics/stomach, to distance themselves from the stark world and from a sense of ownership by authority.

I thought that Interns listend to loud techno music beacuse they like it/have no taste. There could be some Interns that like other types of music, just like there was one that pet Fuzzles. None of them would admit to it, they would most likely be beaten to death by others.

It would be funny if in a future game/film/brainvision prgramme* Abe took off an Intern's headphones and found it was actually heavy classical playing.

I was unsure whether it was techno or punk rock, seeing as different websites say different things.

I agree with Max, I think the interns choose to listen to music to drown out everything else, not because the Vykkers want them to.

OWI have referred to it as punk rock, but I think it's clearly meant to be techno. TBH, both would suit my impression of the Interns, maybe there's variation in Intern tastes.

Techno does seem more fitting, although I'd like to see an intern headbang to punk rock, I think their canoe heads would just fall off their flimsy little neck.

I suppose its reasonable that the interns have control over the radio station(s) at the labs, its quite twisted you wanna see that Dryadri :p

What can I say? I'm a twisted person. It says...somewhere (I think it may be the OW Library) that they have frequent access to the internet, perhaps they download their own music from there when they should be working.

I think it's government propaganda fuelling a deep undying hatred towards fuzzles and labour eggs, corporate jargon and mindless monotonous adverts mixed in with subliminal messages. A lot like our government TV or any BBC radio station hahahaha...ha

Interns listen to music. They are somewhat agitated, and harm animals. Very much akin to Lennon's I Am the Walrus, I don't think this was meant to be read into so deeply, however interesting some may find it, so I don't really have much to contribute other than what has already been suggested by Grieva and Max. Used's idea is my favorite, though.

What'd be funny as hell is if they were listening to.. "I Kissed a girl". xDDD

That happened in the sequel. Didn't you see it? The dwarfs ended up in the circus and met Joseph Merrick.

I suspect Interns are kept alive by a cocktail of experimental drugs. It would account for how unhealthy they look.
