hi i might get a ps3 at cristmas and was wondering what games i should get if i do get one
what do u guys think

PixelJunk Eden, PixelJunk Monsters, Little Big Planet, and........that's about it.

I have a PS3. It arrived in the post yesterday. It's still in its box.

I own Brütal Legend and will be getting LBP. Other than that, I'm happy this thread exists for suggestions.

50 euro's for a 360 game, 70+ euro's for a PS3 game. At least over here, I dunno about the USA.

Basically, our PS3 games are 10 Euro's less than your 360 games.

Your PS3 games come to about 110 usd. That is fucking ridiculous.

Tell me about it. And it's like that with every game I buy. In the US it costs like 50 or 60 dollars, over here it's like 60 euro's, which is what, 80, 90 dollars? It's the biggest scam in history and nothing is done about it, and they wonder why everyone downloads their shit.

I don't own a ps3, but I'm not sure what the big deal about them is.

Back in the day, every game was about $100 up here. We're talking NES and SNES. One hundred. Fucking. Dollars.

They're powerful game systems. Fun games, mostly friendly community and pretty much do everything Xbox Live does better.

I've got a wii.. The ps3 is said to have a high rating when it comes to breaking.

As far as I know all the Seventh Gen systems had a habit of breaking early on. Microsoft fixed the 360 about a year ago to prevent RRoD.

Little Big Planet, and Demon's Souls is really really cool but so fucking difficult I don't think I can keep going without taking a break. Like, fuck. Also I apologize in advance.

360 didn't have anything I wanted. PS3 had LBP, The Last Guardian (eventually), Katamari and several PSN games I wanted.

As for prices, they're remarkably overpriced here too. They like nice round numbers, so standard games are $100 with highly sought after ones being $110, which is roughly 90-100USD. The Australian dollar has gone up quite a lot in the last few months but games have refused to change prices with the trend.

It's just a shame that they no longer have PS2 compatibility; I would have loved to have played Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.

I think games should cost no more than $50 each, and even then... whew!

Gonna get a ps3 when the last guardian comes out, by then all the other games I like will hav dropped in price

there was talk a while back about them gettin released in HD as a pack like the god of war collection, really hope that happens

You may be in luck. Fumito Ueda gave an interview recently where he said that they may release Ico, and Shadow of the Colossus in the same way that they did God of War.

And yeah, LBP, and The Last Guardian were major deciding factors for me.

For you people complaining about game prices; in Australia a new released game is $120. I do apologise, that is in Australian dollars. About $110 for you yankees.
