The game is fun. The best way I can describe it is an offline version of WoW. Hotbars and all.

Buy it. It's too long for a rental. Unless you have gamefly or a similar service, and can keep it for as long as you need to.

I do. I might still buy it, for the Mass Effect armor, free add-on, and all those other goodies, since it's so fun and all.

it plays like Baldur's Gate and WoW's bastard baby. It's fun, but GET THE COMPUTER VERSION

XBOX VERSION IS CASUAL BULLSHIT

It looks like great fun, and I considered buying it, But I'm probably gonna wait till it's cheaper :( Currently it's quite expensive still...

Does the game have a good story at least? ... I mean I found WoW pretty boring, so if it's just like that, it wont wake much interest in me o.o

I'm not sure, but you cannot change your surname. Atleast not when you are playing male human warrior. You should consider "Teh mighty dwarf Shitdick -predefined surname-"

Try and buy is way to go (Or better download and buy?). Try it and if you don't like it, don't buy it (Nobody will kill you for that) . How simple... :fuzwink:

I wasn't much interested in WoW too. I'm not really far in this game, but I think it's really good compared to other games. I would recommend you to read some recensions, most of them (or all?) says that the story is one of main element of this game. Gameplay is OK, but in this game you really need party members, or you will find your character dead soon. This game really worth atleast trying.

I dunno... I don't like downloading games. Unless they are Demo's.. But Demo's just take up extra space which is annoying.

What do you mean about party members anyway? Offline ones? Or friends and random people from the Internet?

I tried playing ./hack(first game) and there you have to control multiple people. Is it the same here?

x_x I prefer offline games. Whenever I play online MMORPGs I tend to stay away from Guilds and Partys.

Downloading game is not that big deal. Better than buying a game, playing it for 2 hours, find out that is boring and deleting it from your harddrive. And I agree: Demos sux.

I meant offline party members. They are fighting on their own. You can set their behavior in combat. Like this: If party member 1 is beign attacked by archer, then switch to shield mode. You can even switch between party members, but it's not really that necessary.

Ah... Well.. I'll strongly consider it :) I found a site where it's cheaper(and free transport wooh!).

I've been wanting a new RPG-like game for some time now...

Only the graphical engine is outdated. But if you don't mind low-resolution textures, then it's ok.

And there is also Risen. Very good RPG that I really enjoyed. It's from Gothic series developers.

What are you playing and what is your party?

It really doesn't matter what you are too much, since you can transform and shit. If you have Wynne, make her sit in the back and constantly heal whoever is tanking, probably Alistair or Sten or whatever. Have your rogue walk around the back of the Sloth demon and fuck him in the ass with his/her swords. You can just constantly change forms and beat the shit out of him. JUST MAKE SURE WYNNE IS HEALING EVERY OPPORTUNITY SHE CAN. Otherwise the tank dies and then everyone dies.

I am human noble tank.

My party is Morrigan and Liliana, I couldn't pick which one I liked more. And Wynne.

But now I just have to complete the Templar's nightmare to get to him.

It's fucked uuuuup.

You should do fine. Just get all the forms and alternate between them. It gets significantly easier once you have all the forms. I thought you were having problems with like, a specific boss in the tower, but if you're just lost in the Fade, you pretty much just have to stumble around until you have access to everywhere.

Golem form is a lifesaver.

Edit: Okay, I signed in an EA account, registered Dragon Age, etc. I entered the Shale code on the website, it said sucess, now do I just wait for the download to begin?

I find it very difficult to make a decision in a game...A GAME SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO DO THIS, but I really do care about how my destiny unfolds in the world so that's probaly why.

Quite a brilliant game, but where's the merchant so I can start the quest for Shale?

Has anyone else noticed that the volume music and sound effects are sometimes barely audible, then when you enter a battle the volume suddenly increases violently and you have turn it down? Anyone know how to fix that?
