Do you have the Art Book?

Just wondered how many copies are round the forum

Fuzzle Guy 10-14-2009 08:59 AM

There are no copies. Ours are all original. /legalstuff

shaman 10-14-2009 08:59 AM

Nope, but i would positively leap at the opertunity to posses one.

used:) 10-14-2009 09:04 AM

Yes, the paperback version. Perhaps I'll get the collectors' edition some day.

Manco 10-14-2009 09:11 AM

I've got the hardback edition.

I wonder who owns the twenty-something limited folio editions that have been sold?

lol, yeah i meant copies as in official copies, i think you can use that term to describe books

Fuzzle Guy 10-14-2009 09:20 AM

I have the hard back version. I intend on buying one of the special edition one day... when I have the money.

Smoothflight 10-14-2009 10:15 AM

i have the softcover version but intend to get a folio version some day providing they're still available at the time

Guekko 10-14-2009 11:15 AM

Almost bought it, but didin't have enough money. By the time I got enough money all were then only going second hand for a crazy amount. My friend has a copy of it though, I'm trying to sneak a read of it at some point

where do you live? i mean your house number and exact location.

and possibly your current occupation and favourite socialising area.

EDIT: and just to clear up, i was assuming he would reply 'why', so i could tell him it was so i could steal his Leatherbound Limited Edition #160/1000, by force if necessary.

or unnecessarily.

You mean like, waving your hand around giving it "You don't need this Leatherbound Limited Edition anymore. The moustached Farmer can take it. Move along."

MA 10-14-2009 01:42 PM

thats it, givin' it all that like!

Nate 10-14-2009 05:15 PM

I have a hard cover. I considered buying a folio, but I'm a poor struggling student who wants to buy a new mp3 player and a PS3 in the coming weeks.

DarkHoodness 10-14-2009 07:47 PM

I once had access to AlectorFencer's leatherbound special edition of the Oddworld book.

. . . Once had access. *sigh* :( lol. Ah well though.

Leto 10-14-2009 11:54 PM

OP:

Yes. Collectors.

I've read it once, without gloves.

Xavier 10-15-2009 12:43 AM

Got the number 666 of the Leather bound edition and a hardcover copy received as a gift.

Leto 10-15-2009 01:08 AM

Bullet Magnet 10-15-2009 01:50 AM

I received the hard copy as a gift one Christmas. Or maybe birthday, I remember not. I seem to have lost it.

Software Bug 10-15-2009 02:20 AM

Leather Bound Edition here :) just love it

@Xavier, you just got that number by luck? :p

Bullet Magnet 10-15-2009 02:45 AM

I wanted that one too!!!, but it was already given away that night it came online. So instead I got #999 :D
And I also have a hard cover and that latest special edition version for celebrating reprint everybody thought is waste of money (and yes, that might be so, still didn't open it at all) :p

Splat 10-15-2009 02:55 PM

I've got a soft copy a couple of years ago, mostly cus Max told me to. :D (actually I didn't know it existed until he told me about it, at which point I went and ordered it.)

I think I must have gotten it right before the prices shot up, so I was pretty blessed. And it is very cool, very inspiring stuff and, you know, you can see a lot of the bonus pictures from the AE Super-Good ending and have more than two seconds to look at each. And the stuff that 'Never made it to Munch' is amazing.

AlexFili 10-16-2009 03:35 AM

There aren't only pictures... anyway the pictures are beautiful.

MeechMunchie 10-16-2009 08:01 AM

They are very nice pictures, most of which you can't see anywhere else, and it gives a nice insight into the design process (which especially applies to the written bits).

Sorry but... How do you survive? :fuzconf:

As long as he knows how to love, he knows he will stay alive.

He's got all his life to live, he's got all his love to give, how he survives! How he survives! Hey Hey!

Honestly, not all of us were born a silver spoon in our gobs. Sometimes it's better to pay for the essentials rather than pay for a book costing... a - bit - too - much.

Leto 10-17-2009 12:12 PM

Or, you know, he's 13 years old and lives with his parents.

If he had no money at all he obv wouldn't be on the fucking internet.

Josh 10-18-2009 02:30 AM

Okay, I personally have no money. My parents will not pay 40 big ones for what they call "Some pictures of your Odd thing".
