FIGHT!
|
I think some of my classmates are still waiting for it to happen.
|
I believe evolution happened and is happening right this very second.
I also believe that evolution of man is still happening...only very, very slowly (like normal evolution ><) |
Well since evolution takes billions of years, it's impossible to say "in X years time, humans will grow an extra pair of hands". All we can do is just document every little change until we notice a big pattern forming.
Spore is a great game btw. |

Yah. |
Creation by God in seven days= bs.
Creation by evolution= true. |
Any living organism will always be evolving. Also this is sorta off-topic but I think that eventually humans will be able to decide what they evolve into (with bio-technology and all that)
|
I think that humans have come to a stalemate with evolution. Survival of the fittest no longer applies, since we have achieved a level where even the weakest, dumbest, fattest, and most useless of us will not only survive, but also breed. That being said, bio-engineering seems the most plausible route of future human evolution.
Now FIGHT! |
How can we fight when you just spelt out the truth?

I read those things. All of them. Top to bottom.
Besides, we won't be able to do that until the government stops being a pussy and allows cloning and shit. |
Ugh, all of these scientific fallacies. BM is gonna have a field day with you people.
I accept it. |

|
And those would be?
|
they think it could get out of hand
|
That's never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever a good argument for stopping something.
Ever. |
In what way?

You appear to think that they have good reasons. You MUST agree with them. Or are you going to replace that post of yours with "deleted post"?
|
okay well yeah I kind of do agree with the government. because I'm obama hahahaha(evil laugh) victory will be mine!!!!!!!
|
Quite.

So, Bullet Magnet Magnet?

Also, physical evolution may have stagnated but cultural and memetic evolution has accelerated. |
Time for me to become a hypocrite. Here's my own, pseudo-scientific views on the matter.
With the advances in technology, I see a new kind of evolution where survival and procreation aren't the most important things, but things that are soley human and not so much rooted in our primal instincts. There's a good rant about this in the movie Waking Life. I see it in society. Soiciety is destined to grow more and more liberal. More opportunity, more freedom to choose, etc. We'll exit the system of "every man for himself," so to speak, and enter a more socialized, progressive society. OANST is right in saying that because of technology, the weakest have all the means to survive and procreate. So, those issues are off the table. Now, the problems for evolution to solve are those dealing with not of necessity, but of ideas, expression, etc. We won't have to worry about sustaining life, we'll work towards using the potential of life. My thoughts are kind of unorganized. So, I forgive me if that was hard for you to understand. |
IF WE EVOLVED FROM APES WHY CANT WE SPEAK MONKEY
|
because we aren't tough monkey when we're born, if we were raised by monkeys we probably would know their langauge.
|
I see you know their ways. So, pray tell, how does one become a 'tough' monkey? This is all very new to me, but I'd like to know more about my heritage.
Personally I think all OWFers descend from bonobos specifically. |
Is that specifically to do with the Bonobo's sexual nature?
Alcar... |
I am primarily orangutan.
I have no proof or reason. I am allowed to deny reality. |
I think I am a gorilla so I think that you think that I think that you don't think that I think that I am intelligent.
|
I'm a capuchin.
|
Orangutan. The boring and lazy one which can't do anything special except dance.

The kind that wishes it were human?
|
:
I'd just be some Gorilla that nobody gives a shit about. Maybe a Zoo Gorilla. |
Just so we're all on the same page here, monkeys do not have a language, neither do dolphins, killer whales, tigers or anything else you fantasize about chatting up in your spare time.
What they have is a form of communication using audible signs for various survival purposes, language is a uniquely human thing that we evolved due to our needs to communicate and form a cohesive social structure with others outside our family group. |
Rooks.

Grammar.
Language is far far more than the sum total of it's parts. |
Gorillas seem to be capable of learning rudimentary language. They aren't at a place in evolution where they can speak it, but many have learned sign language.
|
What are you talking about WoF? The local Ravens chat me up all the time. Fancy British accents.

Sometimes I wish I could see the world in a million years. It's really a shame I won't be around.
