Now, try to avoid posting threads about everything that holds your interest and look for the Megathreads/Pre-existing threads. All of those threads you started were pretty needless.

I'd say my threats were thoughtful enough, I'm sure as hell not going to revive a year old threat to talk about a topic there.

Moderation is the watchword. It's not the quality of your threads that will get on some of the more established members nerves, everyone does that, it's the sheer quantity you posted within half an hour of joining.

These message boards aren't even slightly dead. Not even Oddworld Discussion.

I'll tamper off soon, its like this whenever I join a new forum. I say the things I've been itching to talk about then I won't have anything more to say and will most likely go into lurker/post once in awhile mode.

OWF has a surprisingly active community of regulars. We also consistently get new members, many of whom stay with the community and add to the amount of positive discussion that goes on. Calling this Board 'A bit dead' is like calling a lit match 'moist'.

Your threads were pretty far from thoughtful. That leads to the inclination that you thought about posting them and therein did the less than five seconds work of scanning the page.

It's certainly a lot less active then it was quite a few years ago. I used to lurk here quite a bit back then and there is a huge change.

That's because people are growing up and getting lives, and not too many people in the newer generation are aware of Oddworld.

Welp, I am going back into lurk mode for the most part. I've hardly been here over an hour and people are already being bashed in threads I make and if I can't post about topics I'd like to talk about with people then I see no reason to bother. I absolutely hate getting into petty fights with other forum members and it's a waste of my time and if thats all its going to by while I'm here I might as well just lurk again.

I plan to post the Oddworld fanfiction I may write but that is all I'll really do now.

You guys are really good at scaring off newbies.

There giving you advice. No one is mega pissed off at you. Its just you did start quite a few new threads that alredy exsisted or that is blog material but everyone learns.
