Better graphics, current engine/pokemon, added features, and hopefully a better Kanto than in the originals. The reason I'm so excited is 'cuz G/S/C are my favourite games out of the series.

I liked pokemon all my life but i'm starting to get bored of the series, but a remake of Gold and Sliver sounds sweet.

Oh yay, I loved Pokemon Gold and Silver, can't wait.

Going to power through the game with my Machoke and love the Elite 4 battle music and everything all over again.

Okay, that thing looks retarded. Along with all the other new Kanto evolutions. Were they smoking crack when designing these things? I'd expect a 7 year old to do better.

I never got round to playing Gold and Silver completely, so this is a definite pick up.

I am quite looking forward to these. I was never able to get Silver/Gold/Crystal when it originally came out (but I wanted it badly), so it'll be awesome to be able to play it. I've always wanted a Totodile :D I have also been wishing for a remake of Yellow since FireRed and LeafGreen came out...mostly for the "Pikachu following you around" thing, so this kinda satiates that.

I like pokemon a little..... I also like the pikachu following around thing, I may not buy it though, I just don't feel like spending 30$ bucks right now.

Each pokemon regoin is worst than it's foebearer. So G/S/C isn't so bad. I hate ruby/sapphire and anything newer.

I liked ruby/sapphire/emerald more than I thought I would. Doesn't even come close to comparing with the original R/B/Y obviously, but still pretty good. Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum however, sucked the most out of any poke'mon related anything I've ever played. Yes, even worse than bootleg poke'mon games, though I really like Mismagius and Empoleon. (that's pretty much about it for the new gen.)

I'm really looking foward to Soul Silver and Heart Gold. :)

I like fire red/yellow, and ruby/sapphire the best, I don't really know if I like diamond and pearl that much though. Also I think it would be cool for them to have expansion packs instead of completely new games.They could have an expansion pack of a new city and gym or something, maybe new pokemon, or features.
EDIT- they made a game called platinum... also the Soul Silver and Heart Gold games haven't came out yet? well I guess that goes to show that I haven't messed with pokemon recently....... by the way I've never completed a poke-dex, although once I did a trade with my friend in like 3rd grade for the blue legendary pokemon in saphire ( i had ruby ) the thing I don't like about pokemon is that you have to buy all the games to complete a poke-dex...... or have a friend who's willing to trade all of his pokemon that he cought for all of your's, which is... unlikely.

Those were kickass remakes, though the numbered islands were a little annoying.

I don't exactly know how EXP. packs could work....... I guess they wouldn't unless they come out with a new DS that uses a memory card, my friend has one of the Dsi's maybe they could make it so that you buy it off the shop channel and it installs it onto your Dsi.

Y/R/B are probably my favourites, followed by LG/FR

As far as I know, Pokemon had much more emphasis on the trading/social aspect in Japan whereas the American release focused on catching them all and being the best. It wasn't so much buying the games and trading with yourself than it was finding people who had Pokemon they were willing to trade. I also imagine it may've been easier to find Pokemon players in Japan, especially nowadays.


Nothing beats R/B/Y for me, I still have my copies (although I think Blue is broken). FireRed and LeafGreen were badass, though, great nostalgia. Emerald was OK, but I lost interest half-way through. Pearl is quite boring in many respects =\ too many things you can do makes each objective less fulfilling.
