I noticed something about CITIZEN SIEGE
 

Hi everyone, I looked on the Citizen Siege Thread/Sticky, and is it just me who thinks this, or are the letters on the logo that says CITIZEN SIEGE on it reflecting the American Flag off of them?

It's not an American flag. It's the AmeriCo flag.

The flag shown is the U.S. flag but for the stars replaced with dollar signs. It’s not a real flag, it’s visual satire, implying that the most important thing to U.S. leaders is money.

Citizen Siege is going to be developed by Oddworld Inhabitants, even if it's not set on Oddworld this forum is still a good place to discuss it.

IMBD is full of shit, you're looking at more 2011.

IMDB lets its users generate part of the content... so it's not what I'd call reliable.

IMDB is only reliable if there's information about the film available to the public anyway.

There are many things that you interact with every day that are not "Oddworld". Do you dislike all of them?

No its just i was wanted a new oddworld game. Not a movie that has nothing to do with the Oddworld series.

At least we're getting something from them. And, you hardly know anything about Citizen Siege, none of us do, you can't say you're not going to see it just because it isn't about Oddworld. Even though it isn't Oddworld, it could still be a good film.

I didn't mean that it was bad to discuss citizen siege on this forum I was just wondering why would there be an americo flag on the citizen siege logo, I was wondering this because I thought that citizen siege was about oddworld, but now I know it's not.

yerh forget a film, i think they should make more oddworld games. dont know if its just me, but i think a 2D "Abe's something" in HD would me amazing and even now be a big hit. I don't know about new players though... :\

It may not be ''Oddworld'' but i'm sure it would have the same feel and emotional pull the games had, but it just wont have Abe etc. Obviously everyone would love a new Oddworld game, but what helped make the games great were the characters and the story, something that can be achieved more easily in film.

But classic PlayStation hooked up to a television set from the late '90's/early'00's (by the way, how would you pronounce '00's? "Oh ohs"? "Naught Naughts?") with a drink and classic Abe games also = win.

dont know about being done more easily, but in the old games, "you" were abe, on your oddysee. dont know about anyone else but it definatly pulled me in, i was part of the game.

in a film, your just watching it, in a game you controling it, so in theory, games should have more emotional pull, interactivity and the feel of actually being there more than a film.

Thats a good point but the oddworld games were 2D, and as much as you are controlling the character, there are set animations etc. I don't know, i certianly used to shit myself in some sections of the oddworld games. But film is arguably more powerful. I know your just watching but there are a hell of a lot of film techniques to draw you into the characters and thier world, such as piont of view shots, close ups, the use of the camera like the handled camera. There's so many ways. The reason i love Oddworld and games such as Bioshock is because they manage to merge game and film, which is why i love to play games.

Anyway, thats just what i think :)

i once played the level in Scrabania in AO while a bit baddered.

it took me about 20 deaths before i realised i had to run WITH the moving bombs.
