Clothes!

Every time I go clothes shopping with women, I think "God damn I wish I was a woman so I could wear these"

EDIT: This is the second freaking time I've supposedly made a thread but really it's a cropping of another thread. can't complain actually, I'm quite the clothe enthusiast, of what little selection there is for men to wear.

This thread can be used as a 'what do you wear' thread, or how you feel about certain clothes, price discussion etc whatever the fuck.

I know what you mean. That women are allowed to wear such pretty things is of infrequent consternation to me. I’m sure most of it wouldn’t suit me anyway, but I’ll never even know if that’s because of cultural norms or my ugliness.

Leto 01-06-2009 01:42 PM

precisely such. if someone said "JUST WEAR IT" I wouldn't, because the manly figure isn't built for such things.

Though I do consciously emulate wearing dress tops by wearing Soulja Boy sized tshirts.

Nate 01-06-2009 03:29 PM

I do not wish to wear women's clothing but I am quite jealous at the variety thereof. Every time I go to a formal function, the men are all wearing more or less the same suit whilst the women have the variety of birds in a tropical wetlands.

Alcar 01-06-2009 06:10 PM

Thank heavens I'm not the only one. The women's section is always so much better.

I'd become the resident MTF simply for the clothes, but I love my penis too much.

Second that.

This issue was brought up the other day; my "secretary" (actually my employee's girlfriend who helps out at the front desk out of daily boredom) got to talking about how we were the same waist size. Sure enough, we're both 29s and she said she wanted to see me in a pair of her jeans. I said, "That sounds good, I've wanted to try that!"

Her next words were, "You want one of my tops too?"

Erm.... no. I just like the cut of your jeans. SWEET!

.........

What a tangled web we weave.

lol that is amusing. though once you wear womens jeans for a long time, you realise how uncomfortable they are and how tiny they're pockets are. srsly like I can hardly fit my wallet in one of them bitches.

Wil 01-08-2009 10:29 AM

Then get a handbag.

And a ridiculously petite purse.

Strike Witch 01-08-2009 11:50 AM

I hate hate hate jeans. the stuff they're made of just pisses me off to no end for some reason.

Wil 01-08-2009 12:08 PM

Denim?

I used to hate jeans. Then I turned 17ish.

OANST 01-08-2009 12:16 PM

I wore nothing but khakis for years but have begun wearing jeans again recently.

Fuzzle Guy 01-08-2009 12:35 PM

I used to hate jeans too! Then I started wearing them in September or around then and now don't understand why I never liked them.

Yeah, that's it.

I normally just wear skirts and baggy pants with lots of pockets.

Pockets are grand.

Hobo 01-08-2009 01:13 PM

Who needs clothes?

Havoc 01-08-2009 03:09 PM

I wear jeans exclusively. I don't even have any other type of pants in the closet O_o.

(Save for suits and sporting stuff)

Liar!

Tell about the the leather.

Mac Sirloin 01-08-2009 04:20 PM

Oh OWF, you so gay.

mitsur 01-08-2009 04:43 PM

Jeans, t-shirt, and a jacket over it if it's cold or I feel insecure that day. Otherwise that's usually what it is. Hair styling amounts to taking a shower, drying the hair off best I can, and throwing a hat on it for half an hour to make it lie down.

I am the epitome of lazy fashion.

Nate 01-08-2009 04:55 PM

With unemployment, every day has been spent in ripped jeans and one of two old t-shirts, simply because I can't be bothered wearing out good quality clothes when no-one is going to see me.

Pilot 01-08-2009 06:17 PM

Who the hell ripped off my comment about seconding Sydney's return? GRR!

Anyway, anyone up for a crossdressing contest? Just a thought... maybe not full-fledged crossdressing, but maybe something that involves all the pertinent *cough* "men" here with at least one piece of chick clothing on? Hmm?

Just an excuse to give it a try. Oughta liven things up. :p

Christ, I've said some fecking gay sounding things before but this takes the cake.

I'm in, but won't be just the only one......

*EDIT*

Nate, where are the holes? :D

Nate 01-08-2009 07:24 PM

One hole that grew on its own on the left knee. That is all.

Leto 01-08-2009 08:24 PM

fucking love cheap monday jeans. so comfortable.

Pilot 01-08-2009 10:39 PM

Man I like the look of those. If they're as comfortable as they are good looking then I'm sold.

Too bad about the HUGE logo on the ass.

Leto 01-08-2009 10:48 PM

As someone who usually takes off brand insignias on clothing, I really dont mind it. looks pretty easy to take off.

but hell yeah, it's wonderful. not like wearing pants, rather a thick sock made of denim that covers you lower body. I've got two pairs and intend to buy more.

also relatively inexpensive for a premium denim as their brand name may hint at. RRP about $65 USD Im told.

Yeah, just cut the stitches. Best to do when the jeans are brand new, because if you leave it on there and take the logo off later, it's obvious where it 'was.'

I have a hard time finding not just jeans, but any size pants right off the shelf that fit me. I'm terribly lanky with a few extra inches of length to my arms and legs... my size is 29" by 36" so the only place I can find readily available sizes are the western wear stores (cowboy clothing). I like the slim cowboy-cut black wranglers; have for years... but I'd like to find something with a lower waistline. The wranglers are pretty high, plus I cut the stupid plastic wrangler logo off the buttcheek. And once they get old, they make great shorts.

If it's not jeans, I'm in wool dress slacks which I have to have all custom tailored, but they look damn sharp.

Just when I think you can't get gayer... you admit to wearing cutoffs. Please tell me you don't do that thing where you cut them off so short that the pockets are visible below the legline.

Alcar 01-09-2009 04:27 AM

Leto! What kind of straight-gay-straight are you?! Those jeans aren't hugging your ass at all.

Alcar...

mitsur 01-09-2009 05:20 AM

I did the jeans cut-off thing nate is talking about once.

I wore it until I saw myself in a mirrior. Which was about an hour later.

Alcar 01-09-2009 05:38 AM

I'm a little confused. How can the pockets be lower than the legline?

Do you mean knee-line? Do you mean the cut-off point of the jeans? Do you mean the pockets hang lower than the cut-off point of the jeans which takes a person that is ridiculously beyond any sort of psychiatric help to cope with the humiliation that would ensue?

Alcar...

Wil 01-09-2009 06:05 AM

I like purple clothes.

Oh GOD no! I think that's just tasteless really. As you've found with your jeans, usually the knees wear out in them so I cut them off just above the knee and wear em like that.

Hell, at this pace I'll bet you thought I was cutting the ass cheeks out on them too? O_O

Wil 01-09-2009 08:30 AM

Aha, that’s what I can do with my hole-in-knee jeans!

Thanks, guys!

Pilot 01-09-2009 08:32 AM

Okay, THAT was unnecessary. Remove now please.

That's just..... poor, but well demonstrated. Now we can all forget about his wrinkly rotund ass and get back to serious business.

Bwahah! My roommate wears those exact jeans. Tee hee.

I myself quite like wearin' lady pants. In fact, this summer my friend Catherine gave me about 4 pairs of pants that are all super tight. I had to cut them off and turn 'em into shorts, of course, but, I have a fair few skinny pants as well. That's about as far as I go in terms of girls clothes, although for the record I do like wearing makeup, even if it doesn't look good on me.

Leto 01-09-2009 11:18 AM

@purple clothes: yes, they are nice, you hideous shameless fags. I used to wear purple skinnyjengs a lot, but they were really, really gay. uncontrollably so. nowadays this pair would be nice though: http://www.tobi.com/color_image/men_main_image/18774

I like me some baggy skinny jeans, though a few pairs I have are ass huggers.

for the record, that isn't my ass :P

Bullet Magnet 01-09-2009 12:32 PM

I like wearing a winter scarf over my t-shirts. The combination is completely impractical in all weather and environments, but damn, I love that scarf.
