Doctor Who's Eleventh Doctor.
Matt Smith. Damn, he's pretty jittery and creepy. I like it. Doctor needs a bit of oddity after Tennant's dreamboatyness. |
Wow.
First Doctor I actually think is kind of hot. The rest have been hella ugly. |
What the hell is wrong with you Leto, Tennant was fine.
Also; I don't like this new guy. Better than Ecclestone though |
Tennant was a weasley bastard and I never got the appeal of him.
At least this guys got the kind of Crispin Glover thing going for him. |
Aww, I liked Tennant. This guy seems alright, though.

Yes.

First actor playing the Doctor I’ve never heard of before. This works in his favour, but I haven’t taken to him at all. So, it all comes down to his actual performance in a year’s time.
Personally, I suspect he was chosen just because his name is Smith. |
I can't see the name Matt Smith in massive bold letters on the title sequence, however.
Matthew Smith, perhaps. But not Matt. |
Smatt Mith?
|
I couldn't watch that video in full. His mannerisms just irritated me. But, as Max says, we'll see what he's like once he's actually acting.
|
Oh, how I miss that accent :crying:
Also, I partially agree with Leto. The new Doctor is somewhat endearing. Alcar... |
Am I the only person here who thinks that Dr. Who is a massive shit fest? A poorly written, worsely acted shit fest?
|
I agree completely. Though I do enjoy the old ones (at least from the '60's to late '70's), but they were funny because of the low budget and less-than-mediocre acting.

I almost had a heart attack when I saw someone doing a Sookie Stackhouse nod last month. Is it a yes or a no? Who can tell? |

Maybe it's a culture thing, because no matter how many times I am told that this is the show's allure I just become extremely irritable when watching an episode. I actually tried to like the show. I just couldn't do it. |
I used to watch Stargate Atlantis, but stopped when they decided to milk the cancelation by spacing out new episodes by two week intervals.

I didn't like DW at first either, but it grew on me and I came to appreciate the more subtle details of the show. I love the kinds of characters and concepts that I rarely find all bundled up into one show. Yeah, it can be goofy and eccentric at times, but the eclectic nature of the show is what gives it its charm and keeps it exciting IMO.
|
I've always loved doctor who. Always. well, for the 4 years I've been watching it.
This new doctor seems to be ok, but you can never quite tell with actors... |
It's difficult for me to appreciate the newer Doctors, as Jon Pertwee raised the bar. Not saying anything against Tom Baker. He was just a brilliant as Pertwee, only in a different way.

Star Trek basically had 3. Alien Bar, Some sort of ship, and rocks. Battlestar Galactica? Boring metal ship, and the local forest with some weird-arse filtering. Doctor Who seasons have had Spaceship made out of human bodyparts, titanic, very nicely-done Ood ice-planet, etc. |
I like the Mighty Jagrafess of the Holy Hadrojassic Maxarodenfoe, myself.
|
The Library -- fucking awesome.
|
The Library was a fantastic episode. In fact, every Stephen Moffat episode has been the gem of it's series. I'm thrilled he's RTD's successor. I can't wait to see a Stephen Moffat series finale.
|
I was also happy about Stephen Moffat's appointment, until I saw the ending of the Library episodes and saw that EVERYONE LIVESSSSSS!!!! again. I hope that doesn't become a recurring theme.
|
on the topic of Stephen Moffat. Muuuuuuuuummmmmy. are you my mummy?
Awesome episode(s), one of my favorite. |
On the other hand, as freaky as Miss Evangelista’s immediate post-death scene was, the skeletons lumbering about chanting ‘Hey, I’ve been eaten by shadows’ was highly lame, as was the mid-episode cliffhanger for that story, and the Convenient Trapdoor Escape To Nowhere. Moffat is not flawless, and some flaws in his stories are some of DW’s most painful.

Because they showed a hole-in-wall blasting gun three minutes before. And even if they didn’t have that, they could have climbed the bookshelves.
|
Does anyone else think in the next series of Doctor Who, we will see the Doctor's "daughter"?
Also am I the only one who thinks they may make a spin off concerning her? |
Elenth doctor ?
In this song they mention more than 11 of them. I dont think you counted Richard E Grant who only played the role in the 40th anniversary BBC interactive webcast adventure. |
