54% of British adults feel that children are vermin
Here
With this in mind, do you feel that (my generation specifically) children now are "Feral" and are "vermin? I'd love to read what you lot think :D |
:
|
I'd say that 54% of adults have no fucking idea how to raise children, and are probably responsible for a self fulfilling prophecy.
Other than that I agree, a fair proportion of my generation are distinctly rodentesque. |
They shit on the streets like pigeons, piss where they like like rats, and get shit-faced thinking they're adults... they suck.
|
I hate all children, but deciding they are like feral animals is a chavvy conclusion in itself.
|
Hmm. An awful lot are vicious, mucky, horrible little gits. Some aren't, but I'd say most are.
And of course there's several that are even more verminy. I do know somebody who in fact has a face like a rat. He's a right bastard and all - used to constantly harass me and stuff at school (before I went to college), always trying to provoke me into a fight cause he had like 5 buddies backing him. Of course, ever since I took up karate he quickly left me alone. |
I wouldn't say all children are vermin, not everyone is a chav. But I do partly agree, most people around my age are fuckwits and should all be shot.
|
Every town has there vermin, but over half of adults belive that children are vermin?
Me thinks they listen to the media too much |
Off course, like the overblowing of the 'credit crunch'.
Being in year 12 now, the year's below, primarily 11, seem to be chock full of little shits, however. Certainly, many children below our age seem to be particularly badly behaved. EDIT: OANST is right, I can't imagine anyone using those words either, being many adults who'd use those words are probably not educated enough to know what those words or use them regularly in their voacbulary anyway. |
I can't imagine that this survey is very accurate. I also can't imagine that more than a handful of people actually used the words vermin or feral without being prompted to.
|
Well, it does seem that the only success story of our New Labour government is its diligent efforts to paint the country's youths as veritable monsters, particularly using the hoodie to represent the Taint of Yob. Personally, I have found that if you treat them with respect as though they were adults, you'll find that they are decent, agreeable people who will accommodate your requests. But if you approach them as a bunch of criminals, they will, as though offended, take that cue and give you hell.

Most all kids are assholes. It's a part of life dsfiodhngs
|
I would love to see the results of the same survey done 20 years ago. And 20 years before that. And 20 years again before that.
I believe that the parents of today's British adults probably said the same thing about their generation. |
Not all kids are 'vermin' but there are alot now a days that need smack upside the head to put them in place. We just had a story in the news here that some girl in the highschool I graduated from went and stabbed 5 other girls after a football game; right infront of the school no less.
I just think that most people tend to just see the bad because they stick out more, as opposed to the ones who are actually decent good kids. |
News likes scary stories. Scared people watch more news.
|
I hate children. I think I have stated that once before. Really makes me want to have my own and raise them properly.
I know, it's weird modivation, but that's what it is... |
So am I the only person on this forum who believe that how a child turns out is directly the result of their parent's skills? Do you all seriously believe there was some kind of freak genetic mutation around 20 years ago, causing most children since then to be born evil?
I know that isn't explicitly stated on this thread, but it is the general feeling I get from a lot of you about the subject of children. Face it, bad parents make bad kids. |
:
Five months down the line however, my conscience caught up with me so I reverted back to my usual boring self, but, from experience, I can say that it is not the fault of the parents. Also, this survey is inaccurate unless they asked every single adult in the UK ¬_¬ |
:
Also the survey sucks yeah, it's the mail, what do you expect? |
The Mail fit their story to suit them. During the Jonathan Ross/Russell Brand prank call row they deleted all the comments in support of Brand and Ross and just kept the ones bashing them...
I don't read them anymore... Shamefully I did in the past D= |

No-one is better or worse than their equivalents in any past generation. |
Yeah, as far as I'm aware, children have 'always' been defiant of the older generations and often done things they don't want them to do almost purposefully, just the ways they do so now are apparently a big deal. Or it's just highlighted more than it used to be by the media. I'm not old enough to be sure.
|
From the headline of the article, I totally thought it was going to be something satirical, ie TheOnion. Boy, I hope I'm not such a cranky cunt when I get older. But then again, the younger generation always throws as much angst back at the old curmudgeons. It's like a balance of nature, where equal forces of distaste collide between the young and the old.
I would definitely blame the media for a heightened sense of chaotic behavior amongst youth, as with any other issue the outlets decide to masturbate to. The news always introduces observations over such issues en masse, observations which don't even come close to accurately reflecting the issue as it pertains on a local level. |
I hate kids.
|
Amazingly, I read this only hours after I saw a parent slap her daughter and call her a shrew for being so loose around the school.
Coincidence? I think not. |
Jedi is Britians 5th most popular religeon.
Reality check: The Brittish don't take their cenus too seriously. But this is rediclious, the stereotypes towards kids, the prejudice, I feel it all the time, and can't adults realise that they were kids once too? Just because we grow out of it doesn't mean being descriminated against is right. |
:
This was not publically announced. A friend's girlfriend broke several contracts to reveal that information. |

I personally agree. I wouldn't hesitate to shoot almost half of my classmates.:D On the other hand I bet there's about half of the world who wants to shoot me.
Adults hate kids that aren't theirs and kids hate adults that aren't theirs. Win, win situation, everybody goes to hell. |
I think kids mostly hate adults that are theirs.
|
As they say, "Attitude reflects leadership." You all are smart enough to know what that means.
On one hand, yes, there are many children my age who are outright fucktards, but on the other hand, there are just as many who are well-rounded, decent people. Besides, can you honestly say the same doesn't count for adults? I've met some really assholish people in my relatively short lifetime, and I've also met my fair share of decent people. It's all a matter of the person themselves and who and what they're influenced by. Not every child is going to be a 'feral vermin' and not every child is going to be completely decent, same goes for adults, but when you try to label an entire group by that from your experience with just a few, things can end up very badly. |
