Request for removal of rep limit
 

I constantly seem to be in situations where I wanna give rep but can't because "I've already given them too much rep" when I've only given them one!! Also I've recently been in a few situations where I'm told that what I've posted is rep-Worthy but I can't receive the rep because "I've already received too much from that member"!
I think that the rep-cap is stupid and would like to see it removed and I'm sure there are others who will agree.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Okay, it prevents rep being given to the same member over and over, but it should be a maximum of 5 or so before you're stopped, rather than 2 or 3.

I don't think the rep cap should be completely removed but I think it should definitely be truncated from 20 people to a figure more plausible given the current state of the forums, say fifteen or ten.

Also Carnix I don't believe I've ever encountered your second problem, even though there are two members responsible for giving me a huge amount of rep I can still rep them back. A little odd.

Hm I voted to remove the cap but didn't think about how it could be exploited. I think a limit of 5 would be in order per member or so.

Does rep expire? I have less rep than I did a few days ago but I didn't receive any negrep. In fact, I got more posrep. Just thought it was weird.

Maybe I need to make explicit that I gave out the posrep whilst under the influence, and I have since soberly covered my tracks. I didn’t just get drunk and lose all my inhibitions about cheating in the Rep Race.

I'm not sure if that's a compliment or what it is. I think I'll choose to take it as one against my better judgement.

Thing is though Max, you've deleted ALL the posrep you ever gave me, some of it dating back to like, August or September. A posrep you gave me not long ago I understand deleting, since the post it was for wasnt exactly great and you left a message saying I LOVE YOU, but the other, older deletion I don't understand. Not accusing or anything, just curious.

Well for some reason a rep from as I say, around August or September based on a Harry Hill comment in W+B isn't there anymore. Not that it really matters though, it's only rep.
