Freaking yourself out?
I will admit, I am easily frightened. Even if someone knocks on the door, I get frightened. And I ended up freaking myself out quite badly a few moments ago.
I was just working on my story and I thought I heard the front door knock quite quietly. I dismissed it as the wind but then I thought I heard the door open, this time I dismissed it as imagination. Then I heard my name being called and I dismissed as being loopy from lack of sleep. But I go to investigate. I'm just about to turn the corner that leads to the stairs when my Stepdad's Dad peers around the corner quite suddenly while saying my name. You should have heard me scream. But I was relieved that it was him. Have you ever freaked yourself out? |
A leaf once made me jump. True story.
|
A praying mantis once made me run. True Story.
|
I was once attacked by a three headed bear. False story.
|
I can get jumpy in the dark, crotch punchingly jumpy.
|
I have a strange phobia of jellyfish. I get quite jumpy around them :/.
|
I get an irritating twitch in my eye when it's dark and I'm trying to concentrate on something so unless I'm sleeping I'm naturally forced to avoid "freakish" conditions.
|
Whenever I have to walk in long grass at night time I'm always scared a snake could be there.
I've had a phobia to those hairy catterpillars since I was 6 when I had an allergic reaction to one. |
I'm scared of Aliens. not normal movies and games aliens, those creepy grey ones whut anal probe you and stuff. That really scares me, ever since I saw a UFO ages ago.

I get scared when it's night time and I watch anything relating to UFO's
|
I'm not easily scared, but I am easily grossed out. That's why I dislike horror movies, it's not that they're creepy (well, partly that too) but it's just that I can't stand the blood and the guts and dead people and whatnot.
I have a phobia of insects though. Not even a "eww, a fly *smash* " type of phobia but an actual fear. |

This topic seems familiar. But anyway, I've always been able to trick myself into hearing sounds that aren't there. Like at night when trying to go to sleep I might hear someone saying my name. I can hear music too. It freaks me out so much but... I'm sure other people do it too? Ya probably.

if i get to engrossed in a game like SWAT 4 where the tiniest thing wrong can kill you instantly and i do get it wrong from a gangster machine gunning me when i wasn't looking. I jump out of my skin :tard:
|
I have no fear, for I am the reason people are afraid of the dark.

I get freaked out walking through houses/hallways at night with no lights on. Even at my ripe old age I think a monstah is chasing me so I run very quickly to a place of sleep.
|
I get freaked out in scary movies. the Grudge made me so scared of the dark I keept the lights on when I went to bed.
|
I also freakout when I'm in the hallway so I quickly run to my room. xD
My brother freaked me out just by turning the corner..then again it was dark in the house. ._.; I hate it when I "think" I'm hearing sounds that aren't really there too. |
Those sounds are there. Oh, yes. They are certainly there. And they are coming to bite your toes.
|
I once walked in on my parents having sex.
I win this thread. |
I'm Neurotic-ism incarnate, I'm forever hearing and seeing things that aren't there. A bleating lamb turned up in an otherwise unremarkable musak track the other day. Black bin bags often appear to be seals. Maybe it's my brain's way of keeping me entertained, or to keep me on edge, out of spite.
|
I have, many many times. Especially at school, I become a nervous wreck every day there because I feel I'll flunk out because my grades are a little cruddy. I know I have Cs in some areas, straight As in others. But I'm afraid that my Cs will easily become Ds or
even a miserable F if I don't practice constantly. |

No but some have by taking the red pill, the rabbit hole deepens.

And running makes it worse, it puts me more on edge, but I'm fine as soon as I get in my room. I know nothing is there, but I can't help it. |

I get scared by bumble bees. Those things freak me out. They, like, dive-bomb you. I screamed and fled when one zoomed around me *shudders* creepy fat flying things

The very thought of vomit morbidly scares me....I am so not gonna survive as a uni student. :(
|
The only encounter i have had with vomit at uni is my own. Once. After drinking a bottle of vodka.

Vomit isnt' scary!
Well, it is when it's starting to creep toward you. And it looks at you with it's meatball eye, and smiles at you, with corn-like teeth... |
