Marking the Decade Anniversary of Abe's Oddysee
 

I believe we should do something to mark the 10th anniversary of our hapless hero appearing on the PlayStation.

As far as I'm aware (please feel free to correct me otherwise), the month of September marks this grand occasion.

I have no ideas as I am devoid of all things creative :p

I feel like I should make a Flash movie or something, but time is against me right now because of schoolwork and the like.

That's be cool I'd like to see a decent flash of abe. I'd make one if I was better at using it. :p

I'll try and do my bit by drawing some fan art, of course, it will mention happy anniversity.
I may try some liturature too. that being said, I'm busy this month as my formal is comming up in very early september.
I'm interested to see what everyone else is planning to do.

Hmm, I know the anniversary is coming up and you're right, there should be something special for that... 'course I'll do my bit of fanart, but I feel that there should be something that came from the Oddworld Forums as a group. No idea what though.

That's exactly what I was thinking Skillya. Something a little more than fanart or flash.

We could do our fanarts and fanvideos and flash things and put them together in a thread (maybe Called "happy birthday Abe's Oddysee"), then we could send to the Inhabitants the link of the thread like a big present from all of us!!

We could make a BIG card and like add a lil' note from each person.......??

I'll try to get something done for this. I am learning to draw Abe... it's hard.
After the English assignment tonight, I might get started. I've got a weekend of free time ahead of me, basically.

It is the same for me.

well we could have one massive Rp in the Rp section called "Abes Birthday" and we could have loads of the characters which have apeared go to one massive party to celebrate.

And we could have a massive banner with all the characters saying happy Bday Abe!

Fan comics work quite well for this, I may do one.

Otherwise, I think a large pic or card made as a collaberation from all of us would be a good idea. Not flash, I don't think enough people here are good enough with flash: including myself. Considering I don't have a tablet either, then no.

I thought of that yesterday when I first saw the thread. A big picture with every character that was ever part of Oddworld and actually appeared in a game packed together in a crowd (they won't happy about that). But instead of putting 'Happy Birthday, Abe', I thought about using: "Live Free And Die Odd".

Matter of factly, I'll get started right now.

I tried getting back into Flash... it didn't work. I think I'm going to do a really big photoshop.

Why don't we all team up in 'Clans', as they commonly call in online multiplayer games, where people work over pictures and fanfics with each other in the PM system. One or two people do the picture with their editing programs while other provide and them how to best set it up. Or they can all work on an overover picture or fanfics adding bit by bit until it's finished. 3-5 people max (optional for it to be number of people to be under 3) should be enough for each clan. That way, we're 'working together'.

In the end, someone can post it and credit everyone else who participated in that project.

Including literature?
We could have a story with Fan art within, and other people designing extra ideas?

I don't much like the idea of RPing. Some people on the forum don't like it and can't keep up with it. But I like Spirrow's idea of clans.

In a couple of days I'm gonna start a drawing, I haven't got any ideas, but I'll get some soon.

I had a little idea for a drawing and now I'm coloring it on Photoshop :D

The 'Water' Dispenser.

This is an image I thought up on a sort of 'ODD' office occurence. Offices usually have a water dispenser somewhere, and conversations usually occur around these offices spaces, so I decided to give that event an 'ODD' twist. Going by how most creatures look (slimy), I created my own ODDWORLD slime dispenser. And of course, there's always the part where the boss wants you to get back to work.
All renders used are the property of Oddworld Inhabitants.

Sorry if this isn't what you're looking for. I'll try manipulating the images the way Carnix does next time, and see what happens.

I just read from the 'Art of Oddworld Inhabitants' book that the ten year anniversary since Abe's Oddysee was released is on the 19th of September, which also happens to be 'Talk Like a Pirate Day'. So, the day of the anniversary, everyone should be talking like PIRATES!
