What type of comedy do you like?
For me its a toss up between Black or dark comedy and Satire
what about you? |
My DVD Aficionado page is telling me I have a heavy bias towards dark comedy.
|
I do like Black Comedy :-)
One of my Favorite Comedy has got to be Blackadder |
British.
Silly. Violent. |
Dethcomedy
|
Urgh, I hate Blackadder.
The formula goes a little something like this: say enough silly things in a sentence = award-winning hilarity! Sorry, I'm just being meaner than the meanest thing from Mean Town, Meanania. |
Monty Python for teh win.

I'm glad you agree with me.
For actual suggestions of fantastic modern comedy (won't be anything from America then), Nighty Night is AMAZING, probably the best series ever produced. I haven't seen the second series/season, simply because the first was so perfectly formed that I'd hate to taint it. And I know the second wasn't so well-received, which isn't all that surprising given that the first took literally years to write and the second a few months. |
Mmeh. I like good ole English humour. Nothing too obvious, or then it comes off as being incredibly tacky.
|
If it's funny, I like it. I'm not fussed with the name of all the different comedies I like, so we'll just say 'Funny Humour'.
|
I like Britsh humor and black death humor. And downright dry humor like the stuff in my sig.
|
Any comedy written by the creator of Four Hookers and Their Mom (credits to Brian Griffin) sounds like garbage. Then again, I loath my own country like a leftist because I like the US better.
|
Anything that makes me laugh. Usually comical humour.
|
Things that are awkard. Quite lolarious.
Explosm is so much fucking fail though. |
I'm a big fan of absurdist humour. Shaun Micallef FTW.
|
Black Comedy and stoneface. I have a rather dry sense of humor, and people tend to take some of my jokes seriously. It's fun. Stupid humor cracks me up as well..
|
Tough, but British humour/sketch show is probably my favourite. Python, Blackadder, Harry Enfield, Father Ted, Little Britain, Fawlty Towers etc.
Some dark humour too. |
The o'l BBC comedy, tee hee.
'Allo 'Allo, ze best! |

|
Any comedy really... I haven't given much thought to what kind. Just anything I haven't seen already.
Although America's Funniest Home Videos (the new one, not the old one with the guy who thinks every word that comes out of his mouth should be hilarious) is always good for a watch. |
Crude and absurdist.
|
Excuse the advertising and appreciate the adlibbing:
|
MY kind of comedy |
Pat what exactly is funny about them?
|
Well, if you don't know what is funny about them, they aren't your kind of comedy.
|
BOILAH!
Dethcomedy indeed. Monty Python, but not as some mook who quotes them, just as one who can appreciate it for the subtleties and obvious stuff, too. |

Kastre and various other people what monty python film is your favortie? Mines either Holy grail or Life of brian |
*Jumps on bandwagon*

I've been enjoying Flight of the Conchords. Pretty funny.
|
The Office, either the british or North American versions, Ricky Gervais and Steve Carrell FTW!
I am not sure what my favorite is, maybe meaning of life. |
Oanst when you mean the flight of the concords do you mean the planes?
I other favorite comdey is Mock the week hosted by Dara O'brien Satire at one of its best |
I like cartoon comedys mostly. Of course, and as you all know, Invader Zim is my fave so far. Tis' a hysterical show that is most fun when watched with friends. Brothers too.
|
Stuff like Stella is what I's being liking.
|
Either British or deadpan humor. Hot Fuzz has to be the funniest movie I've seen since, well, Shaun of the Dead! I also love the humor of The Blues Brothers, where they just seem so oblivious to what's going on around them (Whenever Carrie Fisher tries to kill them, except the last part).
|
:
Cartton humour is recycled feces thats been processed by a vomit supply depot and filtered in urine tanks. All animation is crap. (Excluding Sons Of Butcher, Code Monkeys, King Of the Hill, Old-School Simpsons, and the Clerks animated series.) |
I actually like most animation comedy. South Park was great until a couple of years ago. now they try too hard but still have their moments. Lil' Bush generally sucks, but some of their stabs are pretty funny.
|
:
back on topic: I pretty much like every kind of humor. I can think of one I don't like besides the "wacky" humor in movies like "Are we done yet?" |
:
The only reason I didn't put South Park on is because some screaming idot would proabably have said that I'ts immature and I am a hypocrite for saying I like it and disliking almost all other animation. Also, Metalocalypse is still AMAZING. |
