Baby Factory
Alright alright, we have a huge fuss here in Holland over some sort of "Baby Factory" in Cameroon. Apparently some Dutch guy has a resort there where women willingly cary someone else's baby for say gay couples, couples that can't have kids, whatever. Prices are huge apparently, in the area of the 70.000 euro mark or something like that. I don't get why people would even pay that to have a kid but that's besides the point.
Point is this; politicians, human wellfare groups and all kinds of other people are making a fuss about how unethical this is and that is should be stopped this instant and that the guy is a monster and BLA!!! Now I'm known for having radical opinions about stuff (apparently) but I seriously ask the question: Why is everyone making such a big fuss over this? Is stuff like this not legal to do just about anywhere? I mean, this is not the first time I hear about women being a host to another couple's baby and I think it's legal in plenty of places to start with. But lets assume for the sake of argument that it isn't then still, what's the big deal. Absolutely no-one is being hurt in a bussines like this. The couple is happy now because they have a kid. The owner of the resort is happy because he has monies. The women carrying the babies are happy because they too have monies and get to stay in a damn fine resort for 10 months. So... whats the problem? Why is everyone pissed about this? Please, someone explain to me?! |
IT'S BECAUSE IT AIN'T NATURAL!
|
Shut up. Money isn't natural either. It was created by man (or woman, yes I'm a feminist, what do you want?)And most ways of getting money easily are unnatural. Hmmm... What could be more natural than having kids? Maybe not in that way, but breeding life into this (already doomed) world is anything but unnatural. If people wanna do it I don't give a damn! I certainly won't.
People are pissed because it's so new and immoral. And when something NEW and (OMG!) IMMORAL comes up it should be destroyed before it spreads out. I wonder why didn't people think so about crime, but instead they let it take over them... |
Don't be ridiculous, money is completely natural.
Surrogacy, as Used keenly noted, is the work of the ****ing devil. |
Mutual Friend posting about something being the work of the Devil is like an Imam preaching against violence.
|
Yeah, totally!!
Uh, wait... mmm. No, upon some measured reflection, it's nothing like that, and the point still stands. |
Surrogacy is natural, trollity. You are ironically united with the Catholic Church on that issue.
So here's a special message for ya; http://www.fstdt.com/funnyimages/uploads/170.JPG |
I don't care what any of you say. I KNOW that God never intended pregnancy to be like this. If the couple can't have a child, then it was planned by God. Sometimes the path the Lord sets out for us is meant to teach us things that other paths would not, and we must pass on the things we learn.
Those of you that support this blasphemy are only helping to further doom this world. Luckily, I'm not in your crowd and will go to heaven when Big G sends all you sons-of-bitches to Hell. |

Oops, I meant you'll be sent to hell with all of the other guys going to hell, unlike me... |
:
I think this is perfectly acceptable. By the way, Fortesque13, it's awfully hard to be a male feminist. |
Go for it. Just another job in this twisted world.

Surrogate mothers are no new thing. I don't have a clue why there would be an uproar about it. We have 'Baby Factory's in like every city here: http://www.livingstone.co.nz/images/porirua.jpg :p |
:
And PV loses, really all that can be said. |
What happened to used? When did his ass get all religious?! O.o
Anyway, I just read the paper and it turns out it was some gosip magazine that helped this story into the world 'just to see what would happen'. Hilarious if you ask me because the political outfall from this was huge. Go gosip magazine! :D |
Do you mean they made it up entirely or just took a small story and beat the drum until it became a big one?
I agree that this really shouldn't be an issue because surrogacy has been around for ages. I suppose some people feel uncomfortable about it because it feels like baby trafficking. I think here in Australia, you can't pay a woman to be a surrogate mother for that precise reason. |
They made it up completely, I just read it in the paper and it made me smile :p.
|
So thats where babies come from....

God intended us to work out whatever the hell we wanted, and those who try to follow the razor thin wire of rules he made apparently get to go to "Heaven" which is, in essence, paradise to us. But if you want to start saying he intended things then lets review: -God INTENDED for man to believe in different gods for thousands of years prior to his initial ethereal and physical appearence. -God INTENDED for every dictator in history to be born? for George W. Bush to live to fuck us over? -God intended for white people to come to the americas, pillage, rape, destroy, etc... for 400 years, until we became civilized enough to put the true owners of the land in little land pockets? Used, get your head out of your ass, if he didn't intend us to find our way, what did he intend? |
True, true. God made us with our own ideas, and this is one.
|
Get MY head out of MY ass? Please. You think in such small terms. You think George Bush was the first bad leader? Hell, there have been dozens of much worse leaders throughout. You think that the pilgrimage was first of its kind? I bet you don't even like Bush or America because everyone else doesn't like either of them. Kill, be killed, invade, negotiate. It's all so pointless when it stands alone yes, but when viewed as a collective force, it clearly has one goal: balance. Yes, the world is not in balance right now, I know this. But looking at time on a godly scale, we are a pendulum slowly coming to a peaceful halt. Technology improves every generation, our lives are gradually being made better. We will come to salvation! Right now, we are simply still climbing up the mountain.
So I'll rephrase that final remark of your post. Get your head out of your ass you insolent, diluded, small-minded homonculus. |
God hasn't nuked America because 1. He lets humans do their own thing 2. America isn't doing much wrong 3.God has more important things to do.
Why God hasn't nuked Iran, though, is beyond me. Maybe he finds Ahmadinejad funny. |
I'm completely anti-God. I hate everything about him and to do with him (Or her or it) I'm more of a Satan worshipper. AND back on topic, they should be allowed to have baby factories, its their babies, they should do what they please with thm.

Alright, I had no right to say those condescening, horrid things, but I HATE people categorizing me for disliking the U.S. because so many more people do.
Its like hating the bully at school that you can't do anything about, thats what I feel about the U.S. first person to call me emo gets it, I hate me the emos. I know Dubya wasn't the first bad leader, if I came across as that, that was my retarded mitake, I used him as an example (same thing with the pilgrimage). I didn't want to re-hash Hitler as a bad leader because lets face it, he is categorized just about everywhere as the worst there ever was. I don't hate the U.S. as a whole, I just hate the people who reelected bush, Apart from the fact that he is sendng a lot of people to their deaths in his war, particularly Canadians (woo! posted on Canada day!) he just isn't a good leader, not that I am very sure Kerry would have really swayed the tide. I just don't preach to the whole "God wants us to do this" thing, he gave us free will, and I say use it however the paganistic way we like. as for insolence, why? because I doubt gods plan? eh, I can live with that, but don't think of my having insolence because I am younger than you or lower on the OWF food chain than you or something, thats just plain retarded. As for my ACTUAL opinion on the Holland baby factory, there is proabably just the money supporting it, I don't think its right or wrong, so I am in opinional libo. |

Personally, I think this is legitimate. Everyone says cloning is 'playing God'. How? it is within our human capabilities, so it's not playng God. We still can't make objects or whatever materialise infront of us just by thinking and are mortal, so we're hardly a 'playing God' level. God may or may not exist, quite frankly the evidence against religion etc. seems to be buildings, anddrastic things like absolutely BS creationist museums and whatnot popping up all over the place aren't helping on that side.
Being homosexual is not new, and is, I believe, quite natural. It may be caused by personal preferences or by some weird things happening in the brain when the gender of the child is yet to be fully decided. But come on, look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...exual_behavior So, in a way, God and Catholics/Christians etc. allegedly think all these, His own creations, are somehow unnatural and should be burned at the stake? As if. I feel, in this sense, this proves homosexuality to be quite a natural and acceptable thing. Purely giving two people in love who are dedicated to each other the oppurtunity to have a child between them seems rather a good thing rather than a bad thing. So what's the problem again? |
If God allows us to develop technology to the level of making babies without traditional methods then surely it is ok to use it. And judging from God's level of activity in the world after the death of Jesus, its a bit silly to say he intervenes on such an individual level to prevent certain couples having children, because he clearly doesn't intervene at all.
Do the most loving thing, let them have their children. Damn double standard religions. |
We need baby factories so we can find a way to turn baby bones into cocaine, duh...
|
Flamefox, why the hell would you want to worship someone who wants to torture you and canonically in the literature describing him gets his ass kicked?
But anyway, let them have the damn factory. Who frickin cares. |
Can we just take God out the equation before Patrick and Havoc become full of themselves?
|
Sorry, to late.

If only Kevin Smith was here, he'd set us straight.
