The Forums (downtime?)
 

Can some one please tell me whats been going on with the Forums? I haven't been able to even access the site for 3 or 4 days! Can someone give me some enlightenment?

I wouldnt worry too much, the Forums usually have down time every year whether being upgraded to a new version of VB or server-whatever stuff, we're back now and I'm sure if it was something major Pete would chime in! :)

I was wondering about that. I almost murdered my computer when I found out I couldn't go on here.
Wait...huh? The forums've been upgraded?

I'm just glad they're back online. I thought that maybe there was a problem with my internet connection or something when I couldn't access the site for the past few days.

I was wondering what was going on...

I'm still fuming about the downtime.

At first, it was a scheduled downtime which lasted for six hours or so - absolutely fine and acceptable. Until someone at my host somehow got the idea in their head that we had been using obscene amounts of bandwidth and causing the server to lag as a whole. Which is, was, and still is ridiculous!

So, the OWF had bandwidth throttling turned on. However, I haven't seen the OWF active at ALL, so I even doubt it was throttled, I suspect a complete cut-off.

So I went and had a few words to support. And wa-la.

Now the next question is why you didn't respond to my text messages...

so have the forums been upgraded?

I personally don't mind the forum lags since the family is in the middle of moving anyway. There's plenty of other stuff to be done(like working with a chain saw).:p

I bet Havoc and Mitsur are good friends now to my knowledge(at least they are if it was Mitsur who was behind the "Kitty in the Krotchstrap" on scandal.):p:p

OH, THANK THE LORD I'M BACK ON HERE! When were the forums active again? I didn't get on my computer yesterday. Oh, the countless hours of going over different forums - I even became so board, I joined a Doctor Who forum (though the one at Outpost Gallifrey ain't bad. Never liked Doctor Who. Apart from the 1963 to 1996. They were good. New ones are crap. I'm sorry, I went off topic.

I'm just glad to be back here.

And here I was, nervous about wether or not the RP would totally burst off without me. ;)



Glad it came back though. However, it gave me quality time to read books so... maybe it was a good break.

It's actually worth mentioning that he asked for those without me mentioning anything about it whatsoever...

Geez, thanks to site downtime I miss this discussion about Havoc and mitsur's frolicking with tigers? That's the highlight of this forum! ;)

It depends on which background your using. In the Native one, it's white
bold unless I'm partially colorblind.

The whole last week this page was not right... I write www.oddworldforums.net and the page is not there!Instead, there is an error.Can I get rid of these errors? (even if its the first one, i wouldn't like that to happen again) Did the same happen to someone else??? :o or i was banned maybe?
