Why didn't Oddworld inhabitants make a 3D Oddworld with the models from cinematics in Abe's Exoddus?!And how can those graphics (in cinematics) work on ps1!?I think cinematics aint normal movies, I think they are scripted or something, can anyone help me out with this?And btw, where can I get ALL the movies from AE and AO?I really need them.They are totally SCREWED!!!Their career is OVER *sobs* and it's all that blue bastard's FAAAUUULLLTTT!!!!!(Just kidding, totally cool I meant)

anyway cinematics are precalculated stuff, so it's logic it can run on the PS1

And to answer your question Abe, OWI didn't make them 3D because they'd lose fans and they know their fans love the old games.

But you could probably find most of the Oddworld cinematics on YouTube. Just search.

Those graphics work on the PS1 because the were pre-rendered. The console was not generating them in real-time like with in-game graphics, there were rendered on a relatively high-spec computer from 3D models to still 2D images, and the movie file is made of many successive frames like these.

I found some cinematics on Youtube, but not ALL of them, and i like them, I need them cuz my AO and AE games are OOOOOooold and i cant play 'em, my AO stops when you exit RF to Stockyards, and my AE when you go away from Phleg (when you kill those slogs and jump in the well)I hope they will make an Oddworld that looks pretty same like the cinematics, cuz I just love the graphics :) And, can anyone tell me if i can find the security fone cinematics on youtube?AAnd can anyone post the screenshot from AO when you are in the Board room?I'd like to see that I can't remember what it looks like.

I do believe there are three videos that show all the cinematics of AE. There's also one that shows all of AO. I don't what they're called, lemme find them.

EDIT: Sorry, I can't find them. For an odd reason, there seems to be 5 times more Oddworld videos than usual. But that's a good thing! :D

If your game glitches at level points, can you not simply use a cheat for level select, or the one to view FMV sequences...?

You can view all movies when you play the game and in the menu do this cheat code:
Hole and press:
Up Left Right Left Right Left Right Down
This will open a Select Movie screen.
Doing the same code but reversed will open a Select Level screen. :)

No, it just doesnt work!!!I typed that cheat about 5 times and my brother too and nothing happened!Can you tell me what happens if I type the cheat correctly?And maybe I have some other version of AE so maybe its a different cheat!

I found another cheat different from yours LIJI:
Hold R1 and press Up, Down, Left, Right, Square, Circle, Triangle, Circle, Square, Circle, Up, Down, Left, Right.

When you type in the cheat, you get to view all the cinematics in the game. Perhaps the reason it didn't work is because you have the PSX version. I believe LIJI gave you the cheat for the computer version.

no, that's the right one. I have the psx version, and it worked. Did you hold all four of the shoulder ubttons down? that may be why it didn't work, and did you make sure you were at the screen where Abe pops out of the hole in the wall and says "hello"?

I think he means another one for FMV movie scenes but i don't know any other cheats for Abe's Oddysee/Exoddus that are too unlock the FMV movies...so i can't really help you. You could always try google. Also, what Abe is it? Is it Oddysee or Exoddus?

well, if you can't find cheats for FMV sequences, you can probably find them on youtube to watch , whenever you want!

Chubfish, you really think I wouldn't search google (It's AE, btw), and I even searched on youtube, (like all the other places) there even was the whole AE FMVs in two movies, but they just aren't there anymore!They were probably deleted or something, and for you Xavier, you already gave me that link, and I even think that it was right here, right on this topic!

Why don't you google it, or use gamespot or ign or summat? I found it pretty easy to find codes in that way.

Those are all the correct codes, just do the movie and level select ones at the title screen and it should work.

I tried the same cheat like from the page you gave me, Zerox, and It didn't work! But I might try out the level select cheat, it just may work... I dunno, I didn't make the game!

Well I tried to help, but it failed...well i'm not sure what else you could do. But my level select code is Hold R1 and press down, right, left, right, square, circle, square, triangle, circle, square, right, left and that should work for Abe's Oddysee, if you want to level select. If you want Abe's Exoddus level select it is Down, Up, Left, right, triangle, square, circle, triangle, square, circle, down, up, left, right...and if that doesnt work put circles instead of squares and vice versa. I can't help anymore than that really.

I think this cheat you gave me is the third cheat, I dunno, I am just too lazy to read them and see if they are different. :p

And btw, I will get AO for PC about tomorrow... Lucky me! :D
