If this is true, it would be a wonderful discovery. Even though it's found by Iranians.
|
Sweet. Let's hope they're not faking it to steer delay Bush's invasion.
|
I'm having my doults about this.
|
Woah. If what they say is true, then that's a remarkable discovery that will truly reshape our world. Although, I too have my doubts regarding the matter.
|
:
But I'm 100% this isn't true. |
What I meant was, even though it's made by people who claim to be a nuclear power.
|
And some people say the US never even landed on the moon.
It'd be wise to wait and see what it turns out to be and try not to discard or gullibly accept everything you hear. Besides, did you ever stop to ask why there are no major headlines about this on any of the far more prominent media websites? |
Or on news channels CNN or NBC Headlines for that matter.
|
Yea I wondered the same thing. Prolly because they are as skeptical as we are?

Someone must be playing a very sick joke on the world. Either that or god just woke up from his 2000 year long nap...
CURE FOR CANCER! http://www.newscientist.com/article/...t-cancers.html |
Holy cow...
What's next within a five minute time span. Flying cars? Breathable water? A cure for stupidity? Now I'm super skeptical. |
Next they are gonna tell me Bush is kicked out of office. If that happens then I will convert to Christianity in an instant because then there must be a god XD
|
No, convert to Buddhism as there must be Karma...
But I'm surprised they didn't try to claim that their nuclear technology was key to developing this cure. That would have made people stop and think. |
That cancer cure... it's doing badly. A wonder cure drug that is super-cheap to produce. Which is why no pharmaceuticals want to make it.
|
Gene therapy is the way forwards. I love the way it annoys the righteous.
I'd settle for a herbal cure though. |
Every few months these 'Cure for one of the world's largest health problems' comes about and you never hear any more about them. I don't buy it.
|
My government professor brought up this during some class discussionish stuff over current events. And he pointed out the exact same thing: why isn't this being posted on major news networks? A load of bologna, I'm sure. Probably just some political tactic for whatever the hell them crazy Iranians are trying to accomplish these days.

Actually: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liquid_breathing Ever seen The Abyss? The part where the rat is submerged is totally real :D. |
Okay, you got me there. :)
And yes I have seen the abyss, but not in a really, really long time... I think. Perhaps I should have switched it to, "...Oceans made of beer?..." |
Well actually, *pulls news link up to show theres a beer ocean*
Sorry, we're still working on that one. Oh, and is there an actual video of the rat breathing the water? |
I don't know whether to believe it or not. My mom had told me that on the news, there was something about this amazing healing thing that happened with this herb. She didn't find out what it was, but maybe there is a connection?
And the cancer thing, that was made before the AIDS article was made. It isn't something that just happens. But I feel that the AIDS article may be stretching the truth, or making a lie at this matter. What I don't understand is how you can have a cure for a viral disease? Viruses can't be killed through medince when infected. Only vaccines can do that. :
|
You forget the Skycar...
|
I saw the cancer treatment on the news but not the AIDS????
|
No one is taking it seriously. Only Iranian channels and Fox seem to have reported it.
|
Fox? Well whatever they said must be true then... [/sarcasm] :p
Havoc |

Okay here, let me find something that is really hard to do, and hasn't come out yet... A next gen console from sony that costs less than $200? A movie that everyone can agree is awesome? (when I say everyone, I mean everyone you could possibly think of...) the perfect computer that will never be outdated? Although, I still think that "the cure for stupidity" is still far off... |
Lazor surgery will be fixing stupidity as soon as they can find the part of the brain that controls the IQ percentage.
|
If we could all have our IQ's trebled, it would only increase the difference between the most and least intelligent...
*prescribes a compulsory reading of Flowers for Algernon* |
Sad story that one is... why did algernon have to die?!
Well, maybe not complete control over one's IQ, but at least something to where we don't have to deal with stupidity... Oh, wait. That's called murder. and that's illegal darn it... |
Okay this is just f*cked up. The cancer medication is in fact real, it's been tested and proven to work. But like someone said before, no company is interested in funding the research for it because they can't make any money of it because the final product will be very cheap to produce. God must sure be proud of us now because we have now officially put the value of money over the value of a human life. CONGRATS HUMANITY!
|
I know, it sickens me to think that we actually value money over the lives of millions. What a disgusting, dispicable race we are.
|
Well, how disgusting some people are. Well, those involved in medical stuff...
This is jsut insane. Apparently if they don't have a cure that costs thousands, they won't produce it. Ticks me off just thinking about it... (insert angry emoticon here.) |
I agree wholeheartedly, Havoc. Money shouldn't enter into it. When you can save somebody's life, money should NEVER be considered. A life is the most precious thing on the planet, and if you can save it, you should. It sickens me that human greed means the medical profession would rather have bits of paper and metal that, in realiy, are actually worthless, rather than cure a cancer patient.
|
It's definately disgusting the notion of greed over saving lives. However, in a cold and terrible way it's another form of population control.
|
But like someone said before, no company is interested in funding the research for it because they can't make any money of it because the final product will be very cheap to produce.
Well, that's one point. The other is, big companies will rather stick to stuff they already produce before closing the entire line to make place for a new drug. Researches take time and money and i bet company would probably make sure they're getting it all back. Even it they would support the research, they have to do series of tests to make sure medicine is ready to go to the market. And this takes many, many years. If I recall correct 1 gram of Factor VIII costs about 40,000$. @Havoc We have probably already seen how -humanity- looks like. |
|
Hm... very interesting indeed. I hope that goes well, and I hope that people are willing to sell whatever cure they make for it.
I'm still upset with those industrial bass- turds... |
