My zodiac sign is Taurus/Tarus/Torus the Bull. Never did know how you spelt it. :D . It seems to symbolize very little about me- stubborn and hot headed I'd agree with, but not strength or any of that malarkey.

Just a little query- what IQ level does Genius end at and Insanity begin? Because I gelieve the terminology goes from Genius to insanity, or so I heard. Spike Milligan was 3 IQ points into Insanity, my Dad is 2 below it. And i have yet to do an IQ test so I don't know mine.

Also Taurus is money-pinching? That's news to me, and certainly complete bollocks about me- I pay my debts 99% of the time. Often quite late but I sitll pay up!!

Well, I'm not sure about the money pinching part, but I do know that genius level IQ's start at 120.
(I'm 130 and I think that's pretty good for being 14... heh heh heh.)

It's times like these that I am thankful for the level of my education (first year university), as it seems to be the only thing currently giving me an edge over the hordes of geniuses that seem to populate the forums I use.

Then again, I've never taken an IQ test that would give me a result without sending them money first.

I've pulled about a 3.0 average from high school on, low point 2.6 high point 3.4 Nothing to write home about but I'd hardly consider myself dim. Thing is, everybody's grades are always better...on the internet.
Everybody is waving their IQ scores but I have a hard time believing anybody here is past 140, much less worrying seriously about if they are so smart it will drive them to insanity.

In terms of highschool I'm pretty ill informed. Last year I was 52nd in my class out of 108. They gave us an update at the start of this year and I had moved up ten places so that only shows how mercurial things like this work. I only really started being a good academic student this year though. One sign of this is how my starting math grade after septmeber wasn't in the failing region :p.

No, I don't think that they are too correct or accurate, but it's fun to take them anyways.

EDIT: Though I did do that IQ test thing that's on the BBC anually, which was a whole world of fun. I know it was above a hundred, and I know I beat both my parents, which wasn't a surprise. And beat is the right word, because we were each to a man wanting to thrash one another. Intellectually speaking.

Uh, dunno about my IQ though... I might go see if there is some sort of IQ test I can take on the web or something.

Those web and TV IQ tests are all shonky. For one thing, a test that gives you 30 questions is not a full IQ test. For another thing, IQ tests by definition are scaled so that the average score is 100. So if the website or TV show proudly proclaim that the average score is 115 (as I have seen), something is very wrong.

Cancer, which, in a bitterly ironic way, is what would kill me, according to a quiz I took.

Darn.... I still have 2 IQ points to go... heh heh heh.

I took an IQ test once, it said I had an IQ of 144. I then discarded it because I'm really not that clever.

That average is only the average of the users who have taken that test. As I’ve told you before, any survey that people only take if they want to is statistically unsound (including election poll predictions). 100 would (hopefully) be the average of a randomly sampled population.

Maybe this thread should instead be retitled "What's your Star Sign and/or IQ?"
