Favorite Christmas song?

Christmas Wrapping by the Waitresses is mine.

Statikk HDM 12-04-2006 12:38 PM

"The Thirty Point Buck" by Bananas at Large.
Always makes me think of deer hunting season, which occurs around Christmas time.

Carol of the Bells

I love minor shit like that.

Bullet Magnet 12-04-2006 02:23 PM

Decorate Your Father's Belly.

Always makes me think of Christmas. And trouble.

Nate 12-04-2006 02:34 PM

I Celebrate the Day by Reliant K.

What? Just because I'm Jewish, I can't enjoy Christian rock?!

Abe16 12-04-2006 04:55 PM

I like Marry Christmas from the Family by Montgomery Gentry. :fuzcool:

Mutual Friend 12-04-2006 05:28 PM

Silent Night.

Sung by children in snow, preferably.

Munch's Master 12-05-2006 12:33 PM

I'm amazed Fairytale of New York by The Pogues hasn't come up yet. I lvoe that song.
*Nana nana nana
nana na nanana
nana na na na na
na na na na*
It was Christmas Eve babe
In the drunk tank
An old man said to me
'won't see another one'
etc. etc.
I know all the song except the bit right after that. It annoys me.
And all children singing is creepy. especially little girls of like 6 in groups. It's hauntingly eerie.

definitley Carol of the bells for me as well.

skillya_glowi 12-05-2006 06:21 PM

"Thank God it's Christmas" by Queen

Majic 12-05-2006 07:01 PM

Carol of the Bells is such a dandy tune. It always reminds me of Home Alone. And Trans Siberian Orchestra. And speaking of TSO, their rendition is darned badass. Nothing celebrates Christmas like some good ol' fashioned guitar squealing.

Mojo 12-08-2006 04:26 AM

"Happy Holidays, You Bastard!" - Blink 182.

Hobo 12-08-2006 08:07 AM

Slayer - Raining Blood

ANN NEELY 12-08-2006 03:22 PM

"Making Christmas" from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

"Making Christmas" from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Oh man! If it included that I'd say either Making Christmas, or What's this?

But if not, I'd still stick with carol of the bells.

ziggy 12-09-2006 09:22 AM

Mine is Carol of the Bells too.

Statikk HDM 12-10-2006 05:48 AM

Stuff I like that isn't jokey
Everything off of Merry Axemass.
Honorable mention to Kenny G.

Mojo 12-10-2006 09:04 AM

I'd like to add these:

Slade - Merry Xmas
Chris Rea - Driving home for christmas

Jordan 12-10-2006 10:20 AM

I like the bandaid one, "Do they know it's christmas time at all?"

Arxryl 12-10-2006 11:06 AM

Another good christmas song is "The Night Santa Went Crazy" by Weird Al.

Jordan 12-10-2006 01:12 PM

That one is amazing, Weird Al is my fave song writer, he is just so random!

skillya_glowi 12-10-2006 04:49 PM

May I add, anything that's NOT in TNBC. >.>

I never really understood that. I mean, surely the answer is "No, they freaking don't; seeing as they all follow Islam and traditional African religions"

Hey, another Weird Al fan, greatness! You are officially in my 'People who most definitely rock' list.

Arxryl 12-11-2006 01:40 PM

Oh yeah... :)

I don't particularly enjoy the song "Grandma Got Ran Over by a Reindeer" but I find it amuzing that my old principle had some strong feelings against the song...

I also like Christmas Time is Here from Charlie Brown.

GTdragon 12-16-2006 09:56 PM

Eh it depends in my case. One christmas "song" that scares the hell out of me, is the Christmas 9/11 narration (I think that's the title). Don't listen to it in the dark.

Facsimile 12-18-2006 12:52 AM

Carol of the Bells is mint.

Also, a guilty pleasure of mine is... Santa Baby
It sounds hawt.

Mutual Friend 12-19-2006 06:11 PM

Madonna did a really embarrassing cover of that.

Also, 2000 Miles, The Pretenders - just for the sound of it.

Rich 12-21-2006 04:18 AM

Slade - Merry Xmas

They're local boys and I've met the bass player who said I was awesome.

Statikk HDM 12-21-2006 11:29 AM

Weren't they the rock group that did the original Cum on Bring the Noize? I don't really think they've been "boys" in at least 3 decades.

Rich 12-21-2006 11:59 AM

Yeah, they did.

And true, he was about 50... but still, it sounded better than local geriatrics.

Hobo 12-21-2006 12:20 PM

I thought he said 'Bring The Noise'

And was wondering how Slade and Anthrax got confused. And had anything to do with Christmas.

Doh!

Rich 12-21-2006 12:24 PM

Yeah, its 'Cum on Feel the Noize' if we're talking about Slade. I just can't read properly.

Anyway, back to christmasness. Its safe to say if you've had enough to drink, you'll like any christmas song, unless it's by Cliff Richard, then you'll rightfully commit mass genocide.

oddveteran93 12-22-2006 02:17 AM

In relation to the title of the thread, I probably listen to sum Pantera, i don't really like Chirtmas songs.

XD, if you keep up that kind of wit I'll be a hobosexual too.

I forgot to mention The Pogues song as well, we listened to it on Christmas Day and I remembered how awesome it is.
