This one I couldn't resist drawing. This is of Black Dragon's character, Snek(the white slig), and my character, Tok, fighting over a can of Coke....

hehe, i like the way you do the pants, you seem to have them pretty much licked now. the bottoms of the legs could be a bit thinner, but you can see the emotion in their eyes even! snek looks a little exhausted...

thanks Rett...the pant style i kind of 'adopted' from Teal. Still need to work on Spider's and general BBS pants though.

Look Dragadon I don't mean to be mean but urh someone has to tell ya sooner or later.
How can I say this... um... your pictures are'nt very detailed and lack good shading, I think it would be wise to only put up your pictures once you have better artistic talent.

That doesn't mean I don't like your character ideas, they're well thought up, COOL even but still I think you should develop your skills and then show everyone some really good stuff! alright. :)

I know some character drawing websites, has tutorials and everything.

So what if her pics lack shading? Since when does good drawing have to include shadow? Everyone has their own style. There are many famous artists who never use shading. And we haven't seen any pictures from you, so you're in no position to criticise.

Although they do lack detail i think they are really, really good. I like the smoothness of them. Do u draw them and then scan them in2 ur cpu and work on them on ur cpu Drag?

Nacos, it's her way of drawing. We all have unique styles of art. There is nothing wrong how can you say that?

aye, as I aways say...'to each his/her own'. Its my style and I'm proud of it. I do add more details when I feel the needs it (usually depends on the type of pic) and since this is ment to be a funny pic..i didn't feel the need to put in many details. And quite frankly...I really liked how this pic turned out thank you very much!

And please guys and girls, don't turn this topic into a flame war...

ok, you've all already laid into Naxos, so there's no need for me to do the same, but i would like to point something out: you said to "only put up your pictures once you have better artistic talent." talent isn't something you learn, it's something you are stuck with. you either have it or you don't. and Draggie definately has it. the pictures look good, so what does it matter if they aren't done in a style you like?

as you can see I DO have the ability to shade and put in details...i just chose not to most of the time.

edit: gah...sorry for the appearent snobbiness of this post...I'm in an odd mood. Anywho...that pic I did a long time ago (like 3 or 4 years at least...), I do go through 'dry' spells in terms of drawing anything and when I start up again my style is slightly different then before. But I guess thats part of the evolution of ones skill....

'Fraid i cant help you there Oryon...im no good at drawing human-like creatures...(muds and my Saurians are the closest I can go...)

I'm not sure how this topic got so out of hand but I apologise if I offended anyone.
From what Dragadon said after I posted that message she don't mind what I said.

So could the rest of you just cool it ok.
I never ment to insult anyone, I was mearly saying that Dragadon could use other drawing skills other than the ones she uses most of the time. Besides the last two pictures on this topic that I saw were pretty cool, good work Dragadon. It's only a few pictures I was talking about before. I never said that Dragadon can't draw or anything.

From what I've seen on the other pages Dragadon is a fine artist, just as good as me. If you have a problem with me bragging about my artwork that none of you have seen yet I promise you that most of my stuff isn't that much better than Dragadons. I am trying to upload my pictures right now so hang in there. Thankyou and goodbye.
