When did you have your first memory?
I thought this thread would be a cool idea. So here it his. What was your first memory and at what age did you make it?
I had mine at age three. It was blurry and I was in an office building with my mother holding me while talking to some guy. Then she asked me to tell the man what my age was. I said five, and then she corrected me. |
My first memory was the Earth's creation. Worst day ever. Another one of my first memories was when I was 4 and starting Nursery.
|
It was my granddad picking up a baby duck in the park and showing it to me. Aww.
That and/or me watching The Fly, which was my first proper horror film at the age of... 4. I think. And Lord Vulcher, you ARE an idiot. You've made my Idiot List - at least you'll have company with Abeguy, Kamille, Dusan and Havoc. |
:
*Puts MF on ignore list* |
:
earliest memory was me falling over a strip of wood and my tooth falling out, I presume it was 2.... |

|
God...I can't remember well...
Maybe when I was two-four I think I was flying on a plane with my mom to Texas to live. Really hard to remember when you were a baby...>.< |

No. Me. On the idiots list. Why, why.
:
And belive me he is NOT. Wait a month, no wait a week to meet him and you will see NO MEMORIES |
:
and Dusan I have no idea what you said but thank you :D |
Generaly, for normal human beings, understanding my posts is very HARD.
And mutual friend is NOT funny. He is just a jerk. |
Not necessarily 'normal human beings.' You just speak a different language. I know my posts would be ****ed up if I typed in a different language.
|
As long as you know, Dusan.
|
To used-My posts are fucked up? bDo you know (probably not) what is the feeling when you have to say so much but you just can't because of language?
|
If you're thinking I was trying to insult you, you are incorrect. "****ed up" is a term we use for describing something not as good as our own, or just simply for something that has a problem or two. Believe me, I sympathize with your difficulties in posting in english.

Well my first memory was when i was in my 3 year, here is how it happened:
I was sitting down beside a table leg, and peeled a sticker from the table leg, and my mom was sitting on a bed beside the table cutting in my feeding bottle (my mom thought, that i had problems with getting the nutrition out of the bottle, so she want to make a bigger hole) then my mom called for my attention and showed the bottle and asked me for drinking, but i was afraid of holes (my mom and my dad did not know it then, but later there were also episodes, where i showed my fright for holes in my fathers socks), and i said: "нет!!", (i have writed it in the cyrillic alphabet, it is pronounsed: "njet") which is a russian word that means: "no!!", then my mother took the bottle and showed to me like she was drinking, then she streched her hand (with the bottle) out towards me, while she said an inviting "a" (like in "father"), but i again answered: "НЕТ!!!!!", and then she gave up to make me drink of the bottle. So i stopped to drink of my bottle on my self, and without my parents forcing me to it. |
Ok...
My first memory was when i was 3. Me and a friend of my sister and my sister were playing a computer goosebumps game. They asked me to go check the screen, (as the boogeyman will jump out at you if you don't keep moving) and as soon as a set hand on the mouse, boogeyman jumps out, i scream, run away, and return by request about 5 minutes later... |
I probably only still remember this one because there is photographic evidence of it but I was 10 or 11 months old and my father was taking a photo of me, my sister and my mother on the back porch of our house and I had a fight with my sister because I didn't want her to have her dolly in the photo.
After that, I have some vague memories of that house (which we moved out of when I was one) and the next. My first clear memory after that was watching Sesame Street and Playschool at home while my mother was picking up my brother and sister from school. They hadn't returned home before the shows ended (which was unusual) and I got worried and burst into tears. Thankfully my dad had his office in our home at the time so his secretary came in and calmed me down. |
I remember me falling off a couch. At age.. 2?

SRY GUYZ My first memory was of me wearing a hat that my Mom dyed for Halloween so that it would match my dinoasur costume. It had a spiny cloth ridge going down the middle. I remember being so short I could only see the top of the hat in the mirror, which was tabletop-height. It's a fun memory. |
Aww, memories of a bite sized kimon. Sounds kewl.
It seems like most of these first memories involve falling off something. :p |
I think one of my earliest memories is my dad taking me to daycare in his car and how I always used to play with the lightswitch at the daycare because it was right next to my little cribt. I think I was about 3 or something.

I have alot of old memories. I think my first was when my family had to care for a golden retriever while its owner was gone.I was walking down the hall when the dog jumped on me and started licking my face.
|
I think I was about 2ish. I bumshuffled past cloth sacks full of lego and saw my mother when she had a orange mohawk.
I think I played legos, but I don't remember that far. Come on, I can hardly remember yesterday. |
I don't know what my first memory is. My memory of all my childhood years is pretty amazing, or so I've been told. I have tons of memories from when my parents were still married, which all happened before I was three-years-old.
So I'll just post about some of my most sentimental memories. These are some of the later memories since they happened after my parents divorced. I lived with my grandparents for several years with my mom, and whenever I couldn't go to sleep or I felt bad at night, one of my grandparents would take me outside in their backyard and swing with me in this big wooden swing under a huge, hundreds of years old oak tree. Theyed sing to me, tell me stories, etc. I can remember our cats following us out to the tree, the lightning bugs, and the sound of the katydids and crickets. I also remember once believing that I witnessed a magic train go down the road that I could view from the swing (the swing was to the left side of the backyard, so I could see the front yard all the way to the road). The magic train was all lit up, and everytime that one of my grandparents would take me to the swing, I looked at the road in hopes of seeing it again. As I grew up, I came to accept that it had to be just some large vehicle with lights on its sides. |
I remember when I went to Florida and my uncle caught me a lizard (which I kept as a pet for a week until it died)

Now now, Lord Culture, bestiality is a perfectly acceptable sexuality.
|
Bah, you guys must have better memories than me. I can only just about remember baking in pre-school when I was 4. It stands out because we were counting for some reason and (maybe because I was a stupid, poorly educated child?:p) I couldn't count higher than 20 and the other kids could. :(
|
Ahh yes, I remember in preschool when they showed us cards of numbers and we recited the name of the number shown. I remember the cards going past twenty and sitting there like "wtf".

Straight from MSN:
('-') Rich says: omg gabreel has had teh same traumattic expeerience as me involving da numbras Yeah. It's a right bitch isn't it, feeling stupid at that age. It matters less now, at least I know I wasn't listening if I don't know something. :p |
My first memory is probably when my sister told me some mud on the side of the road was chocolate and I ate it.
I don't know how old I was. Four maybe? |
Aww, poor little Faxie... Did it take you one bite to realize it wasn't chocolate or did you just keep going?
Hmm, one of my early childhood memories from school also upsets me to this day. I've always liked making art, and as we all know, drawings of people, especially ones made when we're little, don't always look realistic. That doesn't mean that a kid really thinks a person has green arms and no ears; that's just how kids like to draw. Well, I guess my kindergarten teacher was doing some sort of assessment of our common knowledge and she asked me to draw a person on a sheet of paper. So I drew a stick figure guy, and she marked that I didn't draw a nose on the sheet when I got it back. That didn't freakin' mean that I didn't realize people had noses! I also drew their bodies as little lines. Did I also think everyone is anorexic nudists? |

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people angry and has widely been regarded as a bad move. Fortunately, my memory isn't that good. My earliest memory seems to be an incident at playschool where (aged two or three) a peer of mine was following me around and tapping me on the shoulder, and generally trying to annoy me. Eventually my limit was reached, and in the one and only case of myself blowing a fuse, I turned around and shoved him away. He must have flow a meter, which is quite far when you are that small. So begins a 9 year long feud which did not end until we went to different schools. Fortunately, he was never very bright, or very nice, so I didn't really suffer. Then he went and won the lottery, so score one for him, I suppose.
