Oddworld Site Not Here Yet
 

I went on the Oddworld website and there is a new screen saying there will be a new Oddworld site soon, check it out at www.oddworld.com, Oddworld will be finally updated ^-^

Yes finally and I can't wait until this new site comes well I'm sure all of us can't.

From the image of the filmstrip, I think it's obvious that the new website will be focusing on the upcoming movie.

If the site is not coming this month I still hope it comes
in the summer time.

It hasn't been long since Stranger came out. Unless they were working on it since long before or Lorne somehow conjured up a massive CG team (like ten times that of Pixar) then we still have at least a couple of years to wait.

Still, I've been wrong before. I'd much rather be happy than right anyday.

OMG!!!! Yes!!! Finally, OWI lives again! Can't wait for the new site to be opened. I'll check every day to see if it's open.

but anyways..YES!:D FINALLY!:D i'm so happy, oddworld has been one of my most favourite things in the gaming world, and when I left the forrum, I was constantly lurking untill I had more free time. :) which I seem to now, lol.

Good to hear that something new will happen on the site. And it's the next OWI project!

I read in a computer magazine earlier that they are working on the film, and the next games might come after the movie, but they are not sure if OWI will be making it or not.

Next games? I thought they stop to build more games. :fuzblink:

Well yeah, that was the point of what I read. If there will be more OW games, it's not likely that OWI will make them. They are going into the movie business, I guess.

I am excited...at least we know they are still alive. At least this is good as none. Its been so long!!!!

If the film is of AO, then the story might have to be changed a bit. Have you ever seen a film where the lead character is alone for most of it? Unless they speed through the Shrykull trials pretty quickly, but they can't do that!

Well for this, I think the film will have to flow through. In being a movie of AO. They have to create something we haven't seen before. Thinking this is going to be CGI, it more likely they reuse the old footage from the game. Just brighten it up about. Make it more real.

Its the gameplay bit that worries me. Going through mines and rupture farms. How much more talking can Abe say to mudokons: "Than follow me", "let you guys outta here" I cannot think anything else they could add to make more depth into story.

Oh remember shortest movie last for 99mins. What are you views on this? Either agree or disagree? Really think Lorne can pull this off and attract new fans?

YAY I DID SOMETHING GOOD!! I found out this morning, I was going on the web and seeing as the Oddworld Site is my homepage, I just saw it and couldn't BELIEVE my eyes! Oh thank you Lorne!!!

About bloody time! I'll just hope this is more dark and less cartoony like the new games are.

If i say anything, I'll just be paraphrasing things that have already been said. But i'll do it anyway.

It's been so long since we've heard anything from oddworld, but none of us gave up hope. The whole company seems very secretive about everything they do, which i think can be a good thing. But now we know something solid is Coming Soon, we can be sure it's gonna be awsome.

Hey, it needs a bit of humour, thats part of what I loved about the games. Well, the ones that I've played...
A thought, it would be wicked if they made different versions of the movies so that they have seperate endings, like the games did. That would rock. They'd come in a bundle on DVD, though.

The movie almost HAS to be about Oddworld, the whole company is about Oddworld, its in the name. It would make no sense if they made something unrelated.
The games were unique, we need more. And without stupid forced release dates so that they have a chance to release multiplatforms at least. oh, and hopefully they told X-box and their 'only with us for next two or whatever games' to f*ck off. Always some xcuse with Microsoft isn't there? Money, money, money...
The real world sucks, anyway.
Plus, I thought the infants logo was only mainly for the book because it had a larger logo on front. Also for pages inside the book were more logo edits.
EDIT: On close inspection, the new logo has a little light above it, maybe representing something, plus it looks a bit like an egg. A new start?I hope its related more to the movie or whatever rather than a new franchise, 'cause I'd love more games.
Also, I hope after X-box's 'only with us' contract can be bent when its expired to make multiplatform versions of MO and SW. Stupid microsoft and their cheap X-box 360 too. Those graphics are c*ap in comparison to PS3 etc. They just look shinyer.
