Sad to see a forum full of people supporting a game company that doesn't really exist anymore. Kind of makes me want to cry.

So what the fack has Oddworld been up to? Does anyone have any idea? News info? Anything?

I know they're working on SOMETHING... but does anyone really have a clue?

Sorry about not having anything to contribute to your topic, but I was going to post exactly what Xavier had said.

Just because a year of no news, doesn't mean Oddworld died. There was no news on Rayman 4 for over a year, and yet it's still in production. After a year of making a movie, I doubt anything would be released.

I agree with Slaveless...

If OWI releases anything now or in the next months, we are then almost sure it may not end in the final movie. And if it gets cut people will moan about it, and ask why OWI don't keep their promises.

I guess Lorne and Co. are tired to hear fans complaining about things that don't make it in the final product.

The best thing would be to show us thing and clearly state that everything may not be used.

of course OWI wont die! theyre just in "limbo" like when abe dies in AO or AE theyres a bit of loading before he respawns at the last checkpoint. so theres no need to worry about OWI joining the weirdos

i dont care who the star is. if its oddworld im so seeing it when it gets in theathers! i just wish OWI would give us some sort of sign explaining whats coming and when.

It's most likely an Abe film, since Abe is basically the first character from the game and therefore the first one to ented Odd's good graces. I suppose that Lorne will want to start at the beginning with directing a film, and not at...er, the end. Actually, not even the end, since Stranger is not part of the quintology.

At some point in time, I always thought OWI was going to finished the quintology, not start all over again. But oh well, do what does best for a theater auidence.

What? OWI better not stop making stuff or I will seriously go to Lorne's house at night and start crying hysterically in front of him.

I'd just like to point out that, while there is no need now to lose faith in Oddworld (and kudos for not doing so), it is slightly naïve to believe OWI will never die.

It's not just naive, it's suicidal. But I believe it anyway. :D

Fatal mistake, Max. You mentioned something Biology related to a guy who can't stop talking about it. Luckily for you, however, I have revision to do. For a Biology practical exam, wouldn't you know it...:D

Though that may be true, but in my logic, it will take 3.5 years to make one OW movie. That means it will take 17.5 years to make the quintology, so OW isn't going to die very soon. Then it would take like 3 years to make Hand of Odd, so that's 20.5 more years of OWI alive. We might die faster than OW will.

Only if they make the films sequentially. If the first one does well enough, they could have multiple films on the boil simultaneously, especially if they go through with their plans to outsource development.

He wants to outscore, but he still want to have enough control on his projects at the same time. I guess that makes it difficult to find some partners to outscore

I say it's wishful thinking. The only news we've gotten from Ray was back in what, December? According to him, it would be a very eventful year.

Well, almost half of the year is over, and I haven't heard anything from them since Ray's report.

I guess everyone can make mistakes,
or maybe it is eventfull for them, but they don't say anything to the public because all the contracts aren't signed yet or somethng like that.

That's the way I interpreted what he said also; that it would be a personally eventful year for him and the inhabitants, not necessarily for us.

I remember reading once here that Farzad has left after doing Munch's Oddysee. Surely they need him for this "Abe Movie" He created the industrial creatures, I think abe aswell. Need to refer OW art book:p

Plus Farzad is away from OWI now he's working on something else

I believe it would be a good idea to get Hand of Odd made, but I don't hink they will.
