A question for girls..
 

How come when you all see a little kid you are all: "So cute!" and stuff like that? I just can't see it! What I see is a little devil who is just waiting to annoy the hell out of you. What is it!?

Children are cutie-pies. :) Especially babies. ^_^ You just wanna cuddle them, and they smell all nice and sweet.

It'll be a hormones thing though. As girls give birth to babies, we probably adore them because of maternal instincts etc. But you're generalising an entire gender here, alot of my female friends can't stand children.

Even though children are sometime A PAIN IN THE ASS, they're adorable. How do I know? I babysit two of 'em. :D

Little kids are funny, When my cousin was... three? I think. I taught her to poke someone and go "Poooke" It made me laugh :D

Kids suck. Babies are okay, as long as they're quiet. I just can't stand hearing children scream, no matter the reason. But in general, kids are just evil, backtalking, sadistic little bastards who should be kept in cages.

I've never understood the 'awwww!' thing with regards to little children/babies, though I'd say it's probably hormaone related, like Rexy said. And everyone seems to be generalising little children! We were all young once, and not all of us were screaming terrors.

Bah. Stupid generation! But they aren't all like that. I blame mostly television for the ones that are. I'm telling you, my 9 year old brother can go from rebellious American teen ('Mom! Shut up!') to perfect angel ('Mother? Can I help at all?') to worse than Disco Stu (*not very modest dancing*) to Beyblade ('Come on guys, this ain't gonna be pretty if we don't get to school on time!') to Pokemon ( [in a stupid put-on voice]'Of course! It all makes sense! *states obvious, explaining it slowly*) and back again within fifteen minutes. It's a little creepy. Back in my day ...*mutter/ramble*

What scares me, is that there are maybe 3-5 year olds watchin' violent action movies like AvP, and playin M-rated video games like Grand theft auto, Halo, and Doom. God...my friend has a 4 year old playin GTA: SA AND Resident Evil...Makes me wonder why the termite hasn't cursed his mom out yet...

OMG my mates sister is soooo anoying, she kind of has a kiddy crush on me and always happens to be in the room when my mate goes downstairs, shes only like 3-5 and is always hugging me and following me around.

I was astounded by how many very young people I know who own GTA, either 3 or Vice City. For shames. If you're 12/13, I'd understand, what with the whole 'I'm old enough to handle blood mum, geez' outlook.

Honestly...I didn't start playin' Halo right when I was 14. And my mom said "Well, they''ll have to see it ONE day..."
But she don't go too well with the sexual scenes with me and Shawn. She got kind'a anscey when I bought Darkwatch, and the cashier said there were sexual scenes in the game. She looked at me like "are you crazy?" but she let it go. And god...the scene sucked...

Honestly, I never knew that I was alive until my daughter was born. It's almost enough to make me believe in a god. Almost. When you come home after working 12 hours and the first thing you hear as you walk in the door is your child scream "daddy" it just makes you want to cry. No matter how much you think you love your boyfriend or girlfriend it will be dwarfed by what you will feel for your child.

Although I agree with OANST that IF I have a kid (Don't mean i'll be virgin if I don't :p) then i'll probably just love him. HIM. If it is a girl I will faint. Unless if its a tomboy. Then thats good :P.

Well, when girls scream and shriek and do little ninny dances at seeing infants because they're cute, they're absolutely right. They are cute. They'd be pretty dismal infants if they weren't cute. Cuteness is what drives people to have parental/protective feelings for other life forms, and is quite important in many species as it promotes the survival of the offspring, so such psychological trends survive due to the Theory of Evolution.

That said, babies, infants and children utterly, utterly suck and should be exterminated. Seriously - they make even less sense than normal people, and most people suck so much. They remind me of breeding, which reminds me of heterosexuality.

Keep in mind that a girl, or any child for that matter, is shaped by the way you raise her. Normal is a undefineable term. Plus, what if your wife feels the same way? Wouldn't that be a little selfish, HMMMM???

I adore children. They're my favorite kind of people. Or maybe it's more of what they symbolize? A fresh beginning, innocence, hope, imaginition, the future. A young child doesn't know what it is to feel hate yet or any sort of deeply evil feeling. Religiously, they're the closest beings to perfection. And their behavior to a certain age is almost all the parents' imprinting. Bad behavior in a child is almost always the parents' fault for not setting good examples, not using discipline responsibly, etc.--making me dislike the parents rather than the child. (But a kid that acts horribly is difficult to not be annoyed by.)

They're just little sweet (if raised properly) and cute things that just want to play, have fun, and enjoy life. ^_^
