Oddworld for the PSP
 

I'm a big fan off Oddworld, the original version on the PS1. I thought it had excellent gameplay, simplistic with some nice puzzles to solve and the graphics were just beautiful. How dissapointed I was when I saw the 3D version for the X-BOX. Give us back our Oddworld Microsoft!

I expect the answer is no, but does anyone know if there are any plans to release a 2-ish-D platformy type Oddworld adventure for the PSP? I would be a very happy man if they did. I think the game is perfectly suited for the PSP.

I think its the doggies business, Wipeout is amazing and Metal Gear Acid is kinda cool.

Yes bt now how many good games are being released for the PSP?None!Sony did a stupid thing challenging nintendo to the portable market.Sorry but I just don't like Sony so much. Metal Gear Ac!d also takes away the joy of all previous metal gear games.Yet wipeout is indeed cool.It's just that I keep hearing "OMG PS2 is better than X-box and GC cause it has Online!!" X-box live anyone? Also "OMG San Andreas and crap (Besides the ratchet and Jax series) are for PS2!!!!I will get teh PS2 cause i'm a retard!!!" Really...That stuff pisses me off.I am so sorry but people are just being retards about PS2 IMO.Also why not have a 2-d oddworld for the DS?The touch screen can really be put to good use! I think I'll concider buying the PSP if they re-release the 2 Abe games on it.

Oddworld will probably be multi platform in the future, Lorne said he wont make the same errors of being one console exclusive again.

I thought, how about a new oddworld adventure, not just a re-release... set between AE and MO... I mean, There are some questions, like, first and foremost, what the fook is The Raisin? Where did it come from? Why does it help the Muds? When and why did the mudokons make The Big Well? I for one would love Oddworld to make a new, 2d adventure, for old times sake, to cover this missing chapter in oddworld's history.

Now that i think about yes that would be awesome!
the second screen could be used for first person and then you could switch between them, you'd be running around in third person, but the bottom screen would show you what your doing in first person

Ex.You do a spin attack and the bottom screen goes nuts.So maybe you can give yourself some different modes of gameplay...

I miss the GT days as well...though I do have much love for Munch and Stranger. My only beef with the PSP is the placement of the X button. From accounts about it from my friends it doesn't always work right and Sony says it's supposed to be that way because of the screen. So I won't buy one. And I don't really forsee Sony making an Abe PSP game. Just my 2 cents worth as I'm a newb here :-)

I agree with the placement of the x button, its too low. And its not as ergonomically designed as the original handheld thingy, ie its hard to use both the x button and the right and left finger buttons. Saying that though, most games allow you to change the controls, and I find that the O button is a little bit better placed. No problem with the button working though, all the buttons work fine on my psp. I have little complaints with psp on the whole I think its bluddy marvelous, I used to dream about having game things a lot less good than this, and now its here, in my hands, every night before I go to sleep. I don't care if I don;t have a girlfriend anymore. IN fact, if I had a girlfriend I think I would probably dump her now as she would probably take up to much of my precious PSP time. Mind you, can you imagine getting a BJ whilst playing wipeout at the same time!

well I am not the one who would like to start flame wars but really. If you were joking I sure did not see it...

Anyway I got more ideas for the SW if it ever went on the DS. First off all let's talk about the microphone. It has barely ever been a part of almost any DS game! Now think this: You are hiding from an outlaw...You're mom or whatever wants you to do something in real life,and you start yelling at her. (Bad example but bear with me...) The DS mic. hears your screaming and the outlaws notice you! Now there is something that can keep you under pressure for a while...Not making any noise heh heh. Also I am pretty sure if you think about it if you were on both 1st and 3rd person view and doing the meelee attacks would be on the L and R button (Most comfortable way IMO) then the controls to shoot would probably not feel so good. To fix this problem why not touch the critters to make them shoot? Then again there would probably be other different control schemes. Also why not add new critters and outlaws, and I mean a LOT more outlaws? I am already thinking of maybe an upgraded mosquito sniper shot (Is that what it's called?)? If you have it upgraded you cam permanently confuse an enemy (Besides the bosses of course...) and have him shoot his buddies! Man and to think all these ideas might never be used....

Ah how gracious of you not to swear at me. Sorry mate, you say you don't start flames, but you insulted me by criticising my writing and calling me sad. That sort of thing irritates me a little bit as I'm more than used to people putting me down for various reasons, when in fact I am nothing of the kind of pariah type persons that people accuse me of, in fact I am a highly intellegent and creative person, with plenty of good nature to go round, most infrequently though when people stop their egos getting in the way.

Ports of AO and AE for the PSP would kick ass, but stranger for the DS how? That would be like stranger's wrath with nintendo 64 graphics.

Not a port; An adaption for the DS. Play teh Metroid Prime Hunters demo and you'll see from a controls standpoint that the DS would do a much better job for Stranger.
