Who on this forum is British?
I know I'm the new kid so maybe it's been said before, but I get forgiveness cos I searched and found nothing.
I was reading the wanking thread (interesting O_o), and realised quite a few of us are from England. I am from South East London, as it goes. |
I wish I was from England:fuzemb: *Sigh* Stupid U.S.
I'm from England. See the deformed Union Jack thing in my avatar? I'm from Wolverhampton, near Birmingham. You know, Wolves (football team) right?
Yes. I hail from there. |
Wolverhampton? Do you support Wolves? Well, I'm from England, northish.
I am. Surrey, 20 miles from London. Someone else deal with this thread please, i'm tired and it'll end up in OWH
:
I'm from King's Lynn, in Norfolk.
Newcastle :)
I despise football and all it's evils, but I live about 5 miles from Charlton Athletic's grounds, so that's the team I live closest to, for map reference...
I'm from Maida Vale which is basically in the bigger area of Paddington in Central London. It's also part of Kensington too.
Oh my God, fellow Brits! *hugs*
I'm from Norwich, also in Norfolk. |
Me Me Me Me Me!
Okay, so the title's redundant (mine, not the thread title)...anyway, yep, I'm from England too, live near Stockport. :D
Used to live in England fer 4 years: Newmarket is where I lived.
:
And shouldn't this be Britain, not England? It's no wonder the Welsh, Irish (northern and southern)and Scottish hate us... |
:
If you think your football is evil, try taking a walk down to the US and see OUR football. It's retarded and barbaric. Thats why I love band, coz like, we're the sworn enemies of every other extra curricular activity. :p |
:
Well I'm not originally from England, but do I live in England and been living there for the most of my life. I live in Milton Keynes.
Damn you and your Barmy Army.
No, I'm from the land of Sheepz0r. |
I've been to Sheepland before. Lots of hills. Lots of countryside. Lots of... sheep.
In fact, the only place in Britain I've not been to is Ireland... but I plan to go to the Republic of Ireland to meet a friend sometime next year, so yay. |
Supah Munch, I thought yinz was from New Zealand, and I thought Sheeptopolis was Wales. Ahhh!
Both Wales and New Zealand are famous for their sheep, and his last reply could refer to either. :(
Well, with the information I've been bestowed upon, I'll say he's from New Zhelin .
I'm from Scotland, Falkirk. If that counts...
No, I mean wales. We're talking about Great Britain here. New Zealand is in Australiasia... thousands of miles away. I mean the other sheepland, Wales. Purely because it is part of Britain.
:
Heh, Zealnad... :D |
:
There aren't that many sheep here. Maybe because i'm so use to it. |
:
I don't think there are any tribesmen in Wales. There are some in Ireland maybe, Scotland definitely. ;) |
CS my old friend, are you one of these tribesmen Rich seems fascinated in? Or are you a normal, sensible Scot? Oh, speaking of Scotland, we're going up to a Scottish castle hotel on Tuesday cause it's *groan* my parents' anniversary. We've been to this hotel once before, but this time we've booked some sort of big suite or something. And it's just for 1 night, which I think is a bit too short a time to travel all that way. Also I have never been to Ireland or Sheepland, although I would like to go there.

Can we change the title to ''Who on this forum is from Britain?'', because that's pretty much what it's about. @Munch's - Yes, I'm a tribesman. I live in a mud-house next to a ditch, wear a dirty kilt and barb small animals with a spear, then eating them to the bone marrow afterwards. |
:
:
Edit: Actually that sounds dumb. I'll change it to "Who on this forum is British?" |
:
:
j/k. They're all welcome. As long as they don't offer us any bloody lamb chops. |
I wish I lived in England. You guys have the life. You speak so elequently, too. Not like the chunky verbal slop that pours out of the mouths of most of "them thar Southern American folk 'round these here parts."
I'm glad the new tribal life is worknig out for you CS, I now understand why you're not on as often. :D
:
It's quite the delicacy.
:
Hey, guy, relax, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to insult your significant others like that. :P
I was teh joking. Just don't insult our love partners next time.
Well, hey, at least you HAVE love partners... What I wouldn't give for a sheep right now...

Seriously though, we do NOT have the life. A large percentage of us brits live in relative poverty, our economy is stagnating, house prices are getting rediculous, and nobody I know speaks eloquently. It's impossible to get a job, and even when you do get one, you end up taking out loans and mortgages that take 10 to 20 years to pay off, just so you can buy a house and a car. Britain is like a damn retirement island now, it's where fat 55 year olds come to buy an overpriced death nest, because they're the only people who can afford to live here. Maybe the prevailing English stereotype in America is attractive, but the real Britain isn't anywhere near as pretty. I've considered starting my own business, working online, all sorts, but when it comes down to it, if you look at the figures you'll soon realise that it doesn't matter what you do, it's still stupidly expensive to live here. |
