Oddworld Characters You Hate
 

What Oddworld characters do you hate? I don't mean dislike I mean really hate because they are annoying, ruined something in the plot, had no real reason to be in the game, just there to be there.

Munch
I really didn't like Munch. He really didn't need to be in MO. MO could have just been a game around Abe. It could have been renamed and had the plot change a bit. Most of MO revolved around Abe saving muds and eggs anyway. Abe could have easy gone to labs and saved the Mud eggs and that could have been plot of the game. They could have also put in Sam to make things about Abe. I also didn't like Munch teaming up with Abe because Abe seemed much better off going solo and without a partner. I just didn't like how the game play had to change because Munch was around. I wouldn't have been able to take it if they put Munch with Abe through a 2D game like AO and AE.

Lu Lu (Or was it Lou Lou?)
If it hadn't been for Lu Lu half of MO wouldn't be about getting money for him. They could have had a more time making an in depth plot than making you spend half the levels getting money for a stupid, worthless character.

The only creatures i realy hate are slurgs:p

I didn't like munch, because there wasn't much integrity to his character and his voice was annoying. I also didn't like fleeches, although I can tolorate them!

I loved munch... and I don't see what's wrong with it.

they all have a special place on oddworld and each one has his meaning there

Hmmm, can't thinkl of anything that i hate in oddworld. They're all cool, I guess.

I thought Munch was a fanastic creature, without him oddworld would much less. With only Abe the quintology wouldn't be that interesting and epic, and more heros expands the world. Munch brings a great twist to oddworld.

And I think Slurgz are cool creatures, smalled minded creatures. I like the Fleeches too.

The Clakkerz I probably on my dislike list.

Hmm.....I can kinda admit I didn't like Munch in Munch's Oddysee. He didn't do much, unlike Abe which he practically took over the whole story...yeah. Other than that, nobody else I hate, nor dislike...

I hate most Mudokons in general except for Alf and Abe. They are so god damn stupid it's annoying. No wonder they were enslaved.

The only ones I would say I 'hate' are Fleeches, and that's only because they scare the shit out of me if they suddenly wake up and start attacking. :(
They're a great addition to Oddworld though.

Yes, you have a good point. There is alot hatred going around these days. I understand people have their options, but hating is just puting alot of negativity towards these creation which the people the who made those put their effort and feelings towards it. There is no point hateing something, especialy when it's just a an invented character which someone put thier heart and enjoyment then someone else who just seen this and looks at it with hate.

Fleeches do make a cool growl.

What Oddish said could not be put any better. I see no point in hating something that someone put their time into making. The people at Oddworld Inhabitants put a lot of effort into their characters, and I am sure having someone say they hate it is very hurtful.

Yes but some people put a lot of effort into making movies, cartoon and Tv shows and those people get there creatons bashed all the time.

The correct, pc word that I believe everyone is looking for is 'dislike'.

I think most of us agree that the we dislike the fleeches, but that they were, in this way, a successful enemy in that you are SUPPOSED to dislike the enemies in a game. When you tiptoe across necrum and BAM, you pop a slurg, you get the shit scared out of you because those little green bastards are fast and nimble. Oddworld should be proud of such a creation.

On the other hand, Munch was the product of hastened game-creation and so it is understandable that the character is disliked, not in the successful way as fleeches, but in just poor character creation/translation.

'Hate' is such a strong word.

p.s. I haven't posted in so long that I just noticed that I'm the single oldest member in this thread so far. I'm so damn old school.

No! I love zee Brewmaster Glukkon. I think he's funny and plus, all of your dislike for him can vent out when he get incinerated in the end! :)

I also like Aslik's nerdy voice.

Actually, I loved Aslik. One of my favorite characters. I loved how he had to watch his tone in his speech.

Yea, I thought it was kinda sad when Abe blew him up. It was sort of like poisoning a kitten. My favorite character is Phleg though, he reminds me of my mom kinda. :D

I don't really hate any of the characters, either. As for Munch, I like him. I didn't mind him and Abe teaming up, either. The only thing I didn't like about MO was that the gameplay and story could've been a bit more in-depth and plus, for a game that was supposed to be mainly about Munch's plight, Abe had an awful big piece of the limelight throughout the game. :/ Not that that's a bad thing, but Munch really didn't have as big a part as he should've in his OWN GAME. However, if I did have to pick a character I dislike, I guess it would be the fleeches-oh, how annoying they are! :lol:

Those evil lil' green things, Fleeches, are annoying, yes they are. They like, zap me until I'm weak enough, then suck me up. It's when I played the GB version of Oddworld Adventures.
As fer Munch, I didn't mean to say hate. I do love the things Oddworld Inhabitants make, but Munch, in-game, was not very helpful. Abe did most of the action and stuff. I meant I "disliked" Munch in-game, not his character or self. Ya get what I mean? :confused:

I don't really dislike any Oddworld creatures/characters. In fact, I think that most of them are pretty awesome. But I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of the slegs. I mean, they seem so pointless as we already have slogs, and they're basically the same as slogs anyway!

I cant really think of any right now but if I had to pick it would be blitzers booty,I mean he gets caught straight away,I mean you should be at least able to hunt him down.

well it's the whole point of the tutorial town...

It was! You got to beat down outlaws and use ammo on them as well!

Yeah, I do get what you're saying. ;) I didn't think Munch was very helpful in the game, either...and he was so darn slow on land. That was kinda annoying, too, in my opinion. And I thought the tutorial had quite an amount of action in it for a tutorial as well. ;)

I agree...those are really bad ones and I also hate the Slegs in OSW, they're no good man... I really hate those stinky-barkin'- idiotic creatures! they r too stupid!

Yep. Slogs were evil lil' creatures in Munch's Oddysee, Abe's Exxodus, and Abe's Oddysee. Slegs aren't as worse an Slogs. They just bite on Stranger then disappear. But DAMN, they do hurt! Bring down a quarter of yer health.

Clakkers are funny. They gbo by their name of Chicken-folk, for they're so cowardly. They use guns against Stranger, sure, but they should come out and shoot Stranger themselves rather than hiding in homes.

I hate because me they eat in one second...

The maximum of time in which one fleech can eat you is actually 2 seconds.:D
But that only is when you stand still.
