The second one was a failed attempt at a military knife. There's plenty more I could post but some are wallpaper sized and it would make this thread very 56k unfriendly.

Not plastic wrap :). Although it could be used for that, I used some kind of Photoshop plug in. I think it was Xenofex or something like that.

It's not an actual painting, it is a variety of photographs that I molded together to create a far more epic looking environment. I used the clone stamp tool, faded a couple layers, drew in some fog, and topped it off with a light color burn and cropping. It's really not difficult at all, if you have photoshop.

You have to buy it at the store. The newest version is ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 3.0 .

"Elements" is like a downsized version, and a lot cheaper - more like £40 than £300, so far as I can tell. Elements has all the important bits most people that produce art with digital media seem to use, so you're just paying for the bits you're likely to use, rather than all the bits a professional designer/architect/engineer/whatever would use as well. It's been around for a few years, so far as I can tell; it's the one I'd buy, if I didn't get impatient with digital art and give up with it so quickly. :P

There was a period where I played A LOT with photoshop. I think there's little I ever did directly from scratch in Photoshop, because I have this awful habit of drawing my outlines in MSpaint and only coloring them in Photoshop.

All of the backgrounds there were done from scratch (the water in the Dratini picture is textured with a stock photo template). I know some are cheap, depends how much time I spent on them. There was a short point where I fell in love with doing backgrounds, and I made that mountain picture. Can you see the silhouette of anything laying in the grass? nn Step back if you can't.

Nice texture there.
